Warning: Save the frustration and hire someone else.

My husband and I are Thomas Fire victims.

HP is about SELLING, not about doing good, timely, and responsible fire restoration. They are a waste of time and energy.

Alex and Sheldon totally misrepresented their company's experience about working with insurance companies and how they would manage the scope of work needed to restore our house.

After 2 frustrating months of waiting, their lead general contractor and insurance expert, Dirk,
1. made little progress,
2. demonstrated an inability to adequately respond to insurance adjuster's settlement proposals, and
3. was not prepared to advocate properly for our home's restoration needs.

Most significantly, there was a huge discrepancy between Alex and Sheldon's estimate for the needed scope of work, the timeline of how that needed to be managed, and how the estimates were calculated and what Dirk Small stated and was working on.

When I questioned Dirk about the discrepancies between the original scope of work, management of work, and estimates, Dirk made the excuse that Alex and Sheldon are SALESPEOPLE.

According to Dirk, that Alex and Sheldon MISREPRESENTING the original estimate and scope of work WAS THEIR JOB.

Very weak and quite unethical.

To top it off, Dirk was completely unaware of the kind and quality of the materials that needed replacing.

All I could do was shake my head and fire them.

We have been asked to write letter of recommendation and believe or not, but as much as I hate writing I could not refuse this request because I really like how they handled this project. It was a Big project and we had a chance to see in the details practically complete restoration of our house. In all aspects of this project HP delivered good quality of the job and managed to complete the project in very reasonable time frame (actual restoration lasted for three months). I was very pleased to find out that all people I’ve contacted for any reason were there to help us; we saw very professional and detailed approach to the issues. As I said HP earned our trust and we definitely would recommend this company to do any home restoration project.
