No one in the store. I tried to open an account but a dead store. Even tried to have the door shop call me with no return call. Everyone will run to big box stores if customer service is even worse at the local hardware store. Luckily, my company got me a Home Depot card. I tried to keep I local but cringe at this store experience.

I have been in here 5 times just this month, every single time was a great experience. Its a pleasure doing business with the super friendly and helpful staff. Not sure what people are talking about with the silly yet negative reviews. I am not a contractor, and I got special orders and things you cant even get at the larger chain stores. This store is a Godsend for me. I needed 5/8 coarse thread plumbing parts, good luck finding that anyplace else! Ordered some special tools, no issue. Too easy! I really loved going to Meeks, and the prices are the same as the big chains from what I saw. Go find out for yourself, then leave a review here too, I usually don't even leave reviews, but had to set the record straight!

Tried to keep my money away from the large box store and shop with Meeks. 3 days to quote a $5,000 lumber order for a local job. Brian nor Edgar could complete a simple quote and figure out how to send it in email. I might add, a verbal quote would have been fine however they wanted to send it in email. After 3 days of back and fourth I still never received it.. Off to the box store I go. Thank you for making it easy for me guys!

Every time I go here I immediately regret the decision. I would rather drive an hour than wait for the employees here to get their customer service skills. They don’t seem to stock much. You can’t get a call back when checking stock and when you go to buy something good luck getting checked out. I would say go somewhere else and save money but to be honest other places are generally cheaper. You want to help smaller businesses during these times but honestly I don’t think Meeks wants the help. I hope to never have to go here again.

Meeks Yuba City has the worst customer service, the rudest accounts associate, and no compunction that as a local business they should treat their customers with some respect and decency!
I have never dealt with a more disorganized, overcharging, negligent about ordering and billing, hardware store!
One of the many mishaps of dealing with Meeks is that they misordered our windows despite our house plan, and our requests-then when I brought that to their attention they charged me again for the correct window. They refused to acknowledge that they had not reviewed the acronyms they use to label windows, but they were more than eager to put through our order and take my money.
While framing they sent out countless orders incorrectly- my husband had to go himself with our personal trailer to try to keep the framers supplied so they could keep working, in one day he went four times to simply get the right materials. On more than one occasion we had workers leave because of Meeks’ errors they had nothing to work with.
Another billing nightmare has been their lack of follow through with these expensive mistakes on their part. They sent out extra supplies when we were doing our second story floor trusses- a 30 foot floor joist and lam neither of which were ordered- we were charged for them, they refused to refund these materials, refused to pick them up to return them- despite the fact we never ordered either item, nor did our contractor.
When they delivered our siding they dropped the palette and the concrete siding shattered- they did not send anyone to clean it up- instead my husband spent an entire weekend picking up the shards.
We have subsequently asked our contractor to buy elsewhere for the remainder of our project.
Fiona, their billing associate has no customer etiquette, was rude and dismissive when asked why she wouldn’t respond to an email I sent in regards to being overcharged. As per their horrible customer service, and horrible sense of responsibility, she blamed her co worker and manager for not doing their job. When I questioned her about why she didn’t send me a courtesy email that she forwarded on my case she got even more snippy and rude.
I warn any home builder to beware- the prices here are higher than the local Lowes or Home Depot- they take no responsibility for their own errors and have zero knowledge of what the words “customer service” mean.

Our manufacturing plant Ace Composites, Inc. have had a tough time with Meeks YUBA CITY California accounting and tax department along the years. We have tried unsuccessfully to get our invoices corrected. The President of ACE Composites and all our accounting team has submitted any and every documentation from California Resale Certificate, and related docs to Meeks as well as , we had endless phone calls in order to get the tax exempt on the products that are exempt in our manufacturing business. Every time the answer from Meeks is BOGUS and INCORRECT. Here are some of the answers Meeks will continue to charge sales taxes on exempt products ACE Composites buy from us and then ACE Composites can ask the money back from the state of California ( business out there you know this is incorrect ! The CA Board of Equalization cannot give back money that a business tax payer claims that has paid on exempt to other vendors, since the vehicle to get that done has being issue by the CA state such as a CA Resale Certification, etc) Another answer from MEEKS : We are a NEVADA Company and we do not extent CA tax exempt to CA business ( interstate business sales are tax exempt if that is what Meeks is claiming !!! ..and for Meeks to be doing business in CA they must follow CA tax law, and our manufacturing business has that certification!!. The question is then, why to buy at Meeks? We keep buying some products at Meeks, when we do not find them on-time in other stores, we are a Custom Manufacturer of Fiberglass and Composites, hence , we are not able to plan ahead of time, all the time, on what customers wants because their need varies.
We also want to say that we have successfully gone to the process years ago and have a California tax exemption certificate with Home Depot and with Lowes according to CA laws, our invoices are always correct and in compliance and those two companies are nationwide and public trade companies.
In conclusion and for all of you, small business that has a compliant CA Resale Certificate and buy needed products in Meeks and are paying sales taxes on their exempt products categories and that has been denying that exemption from Meeks, BEWARE, BEWARE!!!... Is Meeks actually submitting to California all that sales taxes paid on exempt that they get from you...? We hope, we are not in need of buying products in Meeks again!!!!
