Bill has completed two different remodel projects on our home, one of our kitchen, the other of our master bedroom and bath, and we are in the process of making plans for him to remodel a second bathroom. Bill is an absolute professional, in both his knowledge of the business and in his relationship with his clients. Both of us hold full time jobs, and did not have the time to do our own research on the types of flooring, cabinets, appliances, etc. that we might want. At each step of the construction Bill would check in with us, get an idea of what we thought we might want, and then bring us samples to choose from. When he needed us to step up and take a more active role, he communicated this to us and made it an easy and fun process. Bill and his crew were always on time, and the construction was always on schedule. Bill assured us at the beginning of the remodels that he did not take the completion of the project to mean an end to his responsibilities, and he has followed through on this promise. There have been one or two things that have needed to be ‘tweaked’ post construction, and Bill has always responded promptly. Throughout the project both Bill and his crew were consistently amiable professionals. We give him our strongest recommendation.

We had a bathroom and bedroom remodel done and Bill was great to work with from beginning to end. He helped with design, fixtures, and paint color ideas and suggestions. The crew overall did fine work, kept things reasonably orderly and clean. We will be using Bill again this summer for another project. Remodeling is never fun so it's always best to use people who are reliable and know what they are doing.

"My husband and I badly needed to do some remodeling of our older San Francisco home, but we were first-timers and definitely nervous about the whole process. A friend recommended Bill and he made all the difference. We had him do some outdoor renovations and painting, replace all windows, rebuild a second story deck, and completely remodel the kitchen and main bath. It was a bit overwhelming at first but Bill gave us a lot of suggestions and recommendations. He made some very innovative suggestions to make the kitchen bigger and more open. He made the remodeling process easier by bringing us samples and taking us shopping for the countertop. I selected the appliances and other items I wanted and Bill did all the purchasing, and coordination. At other times, Bill would send suggestions for items which helped keep the project moving. I felt he respected my opinion and wishes but let me know if something might not work. Bill is not afraid to try something new, for example, he tried beveling the edges of the tile in the bathroom and I am really pleased with the results. He also found a pull-out wire rack for the lower corner cabinets because I didn't like lazy susan cabinets. The work was excellent, he finished on time, did not exceed his estimate, and I love the results, especially in the kitchen and bathroom. Over all, I think the thing I appreciate most about Bill is his easy-going manner. I felt comfortable working with him, asking questions and bringing up concerns. He solved problems calmly and successfully. His workers were also very nice and respectful of our home. I would definitely work with him again."

Bill is great! He remodeled our entire downstairs. He is professional, a clear communicator, got the project done on schedule - and did great work. The space is beautiful!
He also fixed a huge ongoing leak issue due to shoddy work by a previous contractor. It's just a relief working with Bill, as we know the job will be done right the first time.
We are going to remodel the upstairs of our house next, and are excited to work with him again.
I would (and do) highly recommend him to anyone looking for a contractor.

We were so impressed with Hitchcock Construction that we hope to have them work on our upcoming remodel. Our first project together was a full remodel of a condo unit on the water. The remodel consisted of remodeling two bathrooms, a kitchen, installing new flooring, updating the fireplace, new electrical, among others. An added complication was that Hitchcock Construction had to time the tides and use a raft to access the underside of the condo. Due to unforeseen circumstances, we had to sell the condo. The feedback from the new owner, realtors, and others that viewed the condo was that the construction work was of high quality. In addition to doing such a wonderful job, Hitchcock Construction was extremely responsive to our questions and was at the worksite most of the time. Of most note was that the company was sincerely concerned that we were satisfied with the work. They worked with us to resolve the few issues that inevitably occur with such a large project. If you are lucky enough to find that Hitchcock Construction is available to work on your project, this company is a fabulous choice to do your project.
