This gorgeous NRHP-listed bridge from 1911 is the longest poured concrete bridge in the world and for some technical engineering reason I don’t understand it has virtually survived all earthquakes it has experienced.

The Eel River at Fernbridge overfloweth... 25.7 feet! Flood stage is 20 ft. It was AMAZING and soooo POWER-FULL ?! Nothing like Mother Nature reminding us who is in charge. And also the awesome power of human nature... a shout out to John B Leonard... he is who built the reinforced concrete Arch Bridge 1910-1911. I believe it is the oldest standing arch bridge still in use IN THE WORLD!! WOW!
