My favorite coffee shop in Chicago! I’ve been coming here since I arrived in town, and the drinks are always delicious. The baristas are skilled and super friendly, making it a warm and welcoming spot. Highly recommend!

I've been wanting to go to espresso and milk for quite some time now but they're only open during working days and close around 3:00 so it's not possible for me to go unless I'm off of work.

So when I had the opportunity to pop in on a random day off I didn't pass up the opportunity and was not disappointed.

The location is on the ground floor of the Opera House off the river which is an amazing space to be and not a part of the city that you usually go to unless you work in that area.

As for the coffee, I tried one of the seasonal lattes and it was absolutely delicious. It wasn't too sweet but still had the notes of the cookie. It was trying to represent. A good latte in my opinion always lets the coffee shine through and that's what this one did.

The space, while small is inviting and very clean, with minimalistic vibes. The staff were friendly and seemed like they would be more than willing to help with an order or any questions even though I didn't have any personally.

While there's nowhere to sit, there are some little standing counters that you can enjoy your coffee while catching up with a friend or typing away on your phone doing miscellaneous activities.

Considering the location in the city, this isn't a surprise because this is likely a place for folks that live in the area, which would explain the hours as well. If you happen to be visiting or can make it while they're open during the week, I highly recommend going and it's somewhere. I will try to go again sooner rather than later to try out some of their other drinks and maybe they're non-latte offerings getting something a little more bean focused.

Stark white and very clean interior, the coffee options are nice and very high quality. Some really nice pastries as well.

They really need to add some stools and a deeper counter. There's not really much of an option if you wish to eat in.

Every Monday like clockwork I get a coffee from espresso and milk and it makes my Monday feel like a bright and sunny Saturday 🖤
The employees are so nice and you call tell they have a love for what they do.

This city has a lot of coffee shops, but it’s hard to beat the quality of espresso and milk. 🥛 ☕️

Am I addicted to the black sesame iced latte...yes, yes I am. Dare I say it's the best latte flavor I've ever had. Set time aside for the morning if it's rush hour or order on app, they get quite busy

Stopped by kind of weary bc i never have good matcha at coffee shops, but it was very good! The color was great and you can get it unsweetened so I was able to put how much simple syrup I wanted in. Highly recommend!! And the staff all works very quickly, especially for a small kitchen and space

My friends and I really happy that we discovered this place. The staffs here are very professional, and their latte art is exquisite plus they are super friendly. The coffee shop has a beautifully simple and clean interior.

Espresso and Milk came up as a short walk away from my hotel, so I walked over for an early afternoon pick me up before I headed to the convention center. It’s inside the opera house, so if you don’t see an actual storefront, that’s why. The coffee here is very good, baristas were nice. I’m definitely going to try to come back the next time I’m in town.
