Reliable, honest and impeccable work. Just a few words that popped into my mind after having them engineer are home. I engaged ESI-FME Engineers in 2013 when I decided to extend my garage space into the hillside on which it rested. I had a standard 420 SF garage and wanted to get more space for vehicles and storage. Traci Petcoff Wong was the engineer assigned to my project. She was terrific !! Very knowledgeable and personal. She came up with a design to excavate an area about 16' x 35' which would accommodate retaining walls on 3 sides with a concrete slab floor.

My architect was very pleased at the way the project sailed through the planning department and now I have a 960 SF garage meaning 540 SF were added to the existing 420 SF. It's amazing to me that women like the "man cave" more than the men do. Everyone is impressed by what was done with a house that was resting on piers on a sculpted slope and is now 15' x 35' long!!! I couldn't be happier with their work product and the speed with which it was delivered. there were 5 parallam beams, like Glu-Lam beams, spanning 17 feet that were 11" high and 5" wide and 3 stud frames holding up the structure above. If I could post photos I would. It's awesome!

My contractor hadn't done a project like this in his 25 year career and was very pleased with the result. I'm the envy of my neighbors, most of whom have their garages full.

I highly recommend ESI-FME for structural or civil engineering.
