I recently had the pleasure of working with Luke Ensberg of Ensberg Engineering. I had an unfortunate sub standard roof repair done by an incompetent roofer. I needed structural plans asap to meet a tight deadline for repair. Luke far exceeded my expectations. I can attest he went above and beyond anything I expected from an engineer. You get to know him and you just trust him. From the time I explained my predicament, Luke listened carefully. He accommodated my request for a site visit, completing precise, meticulous and thorough structural plans and calculations far sooner than I could have hoped for. Luke listened to my concerns, explained the process, answered all of my many questions and followed up in a timely manner every single time ! Luke Ensberg is a true professional, a proven expert in his field, I was fortunate to have found him. Many thanks Luke, you’re the best !

Had the pleasure of working with Luke on a project in Davis regarding wall removal, beam sizing and placement, purlin spacing, strongbacks, etc. He promptly met me onsite and within a day provided his final calculations and drawings to mix with my architect's drawings for submission to the city. His fees were very reasonable and his work timely and professional. I would highly recommend Luke for any SE work.

A friend recommended Luke to me months ago. She was impressed by the fact that he caught a beam in her home that wasn’t properly supported, putting her roof at risk of collapsing. My experience with him has been just as positive. I can’t even begin to describe how wonderful Luke is. What was supposed to be a small project led to a lot more than we had planned. Luke is incredibly knowledgeable and professional, but he’s also very kind and empathetic. He stuck by me throughout the project and was always patient with answering my million questions. He’s totally loyal and doesn’t get overwhelmed - always calm. He’s also very respectful of the contractor involved and the subs he’s interacted with. I just can’t say enough good things about him! He’s all around just a wonderful human and a true professional - on a side note, my neighbor was so impressed he recently hired him to help with a project.

Luke Ensberg is highly skilled, thoughtful, thorough, and trustworthy. He was our saving grace during a remodel. The city inspector incorrectly signed off on our first inspection which was not done correctly or per the engineering plans. Luke caught this mistake and worked with the construction company to make sure the work was done safely and according to his engineering plans. Luke went above and beyond and we are so thankful for him.

Luke is a thorough, professional, practical engineer. He planned, permitted, and field-supervised structural and seismic retro for a wholesale renovation in SF. The SF permit reviewers and contractor workers easily followed and liked his drawings on this complex project. When field conditions required modifications, he was prompt & effective working with the construction team. He was highly response to any questions or concerns I had. I always thought his invoices clearly communicated his activities, and represented good value for the money. Most important, I felt I could have complete trust in his work on this complex project. I highly recommend him.

Did the engineering for my patio cover, professional and easy to work with. In the event of a tornado/earthquake in Davis, my patio cover will be the safest place to be!
