We are very happy after working with Empirical Construction to complete a basement finish project. From the initial meeting to the final walk through, the process was very smooth and customer focused. Josh did an amazing job understanding what we wanted to accomplish. As a result, we now have a finished basement that greatly exceeds our initial expectations. We highly recommend Empirical Construction!

Throughout the project, communication with Josh and his team was responsive and easy to understand. This included any questions that we had as the project progressed as well as any modifications along the way. In addition, all of the costs were explained up front and there were no surprises that affected the budget. Josh was also able to keep the project moving along as he was able to schedule the next work to be done as soon as the previous steps were completed.

Our finished basement is now a great addition to our home. My wife, my daughter and I hired Empirical Construction after interviewing several contractors in the Denver area. I am a stickler for reading each and every review I can find. From the moment we met Josh we were impressed with the way he “got” what we were trying to accomplish with the project. He came up with creative solutions to the problems we presented to him.
One challenge was that we would be out of town for the bulk of the renovations and we needed someone who could do the work and not need too much hand holding from us.
We also wanted to work with a designer to help with the overall look of the project and needed a contractor who could work with our designer.
We awarded the contract to Empirical and we were thrilled with the results. Our project entailed a complete bathroom and kitchen remodel, hardwood flooring installation and refinishing. Because the house was built in the 1950’s the plumbing and electrical also required extensive upgrades. Empirical did everything by the book and pulled permits and helped us contract for testing for lead. By the book often means more money and time but it also means having a job done right. Empirical did our job right.
Chuck was our project manager and he did an outstanding job working with us. He checked in with us weekly to do a video call to update us.
Chuck is a problem solver and he was very easy to work with. He is first rate and I think Empirical is lucky to have him working for them.
We would not hesitate to use Empirical again if the need arises.

Can't say enough about the experience we had with Empirical Construction and their amazing team. Josh was incredibly responsive and quoted us fairly and quickly on our kitchen remodel and communicated our timeline throughout the process.

What puts Empirical over the top was working with Chuck as our project manager. Chuck communicated any decisions and changes throughout the process and continually listened to our desires for the remodel. We had the best experience with Empirical Construction! We first worked with Josh and his team to repair a plumbing issue under our kitchen sink. We were so pleased with the service we received, we asked Josh to complete a remodel project to free up space in our house. He built out a hallway closet for us to move our washer and dryer into. He was very aware of our need for space and gave us many great ideas for the remodel. We were amazed with the quick turnaround and greatly appreciated the attention to the budget. You will not be disappointed working with Empirical Construction.

We hired Empirical to finish our basement over the summer and they did a fantastic job! I interviewed several contractors and Josh was the most professional that I spoke with. He came prepared with lots of information and documentation at our initial meeting. He was very quick to respond and he had an idea for the layout that no one else had thought of.

Once things got rolling our project manager was Chuck and I can't speak highly enough of him. He and his team were very professional and everything was completed to our expectations and in some cases beyond. Chuck did a great job of always checking to make sure things were done the right way and if he thought it wasn't good enough he made sure it got done to his standards. He is without a doubt the best contractor I've ever worked with.

As far as budget and timeline goes the only things that went over budget were things that we decided to change or upgrade. The timeline also went as expected. Before they even started they gave us an estimate but also told to expect some delays. We expected it to be done by the end of the summer and it was. I would most definitely recommend Empirical Construction for any project and if we need any work done in the future I'll be giving them a call.
