We originally reached out to ElkStone Fall of 2024 to get a design and price for a basement finishing project before we decided to move homes. When we found our next home, and decided to go ahead and finish the basement, we knew exactly who to call. Randy was very responsive from the very beginning and was able to work up a design and quote very quickly. Two weeks after we moved into our new home, they promptly started the work. Alan was our Project Manager, and we really appreciated his attention to detail and thorough consistent communication. He managed our project from start to finish and was very personable and easy to work with. Alan kept us in the loop with every potential change and always provided input and his professional opinion when we needed it. I don't think we've ever gone thru a home project/upgrade headache-free until we worked with Alan and the entire ElkStone Team. We know who we will be using for any future basement projects we will recommend to our family and friends!

This is the second basement finishing project we have done with Elkstone at our homes in Littleton and both went extremely well. Randy helped us through a very thoughtful design and Alan was probably the best project manager we’ve ever worked with. His communication and attention to detail were superb and our fairly large ~2100 square foot basement was finished in 90 days. We’re very pleased with the end result even though we went WAY over budget - that was more on us, not them. We’d highly recommend Elkstone and we already had a couple of friends complete their basement projects with them too.

Undertaking a basement renovation can be an overwhelming project. That is if you don’t hire someone like Elkstone! My first interaction was with their Sales/Design team, Randy Barnhart. He went through the process from design to actual costs - each step outlined. Totally transparent. After we set the design we met with the Project Manager, Alan Dunn. Alan was outstanding ! No project goes without a hitch here and there but it is how they are handled that counts. Alan provided great communication each step of the way. The Elkstone subs were neat, courteous and professional. Special call out to the framer, and “Jerry the Tile Guy”. While ElkStone provides a great resource list of subs, they worked well with my outside Designer and cabinet company. The transparency on costs was really great - no surprises. My project was 2,100 st which included great room tv area with bar, gaming area, a bedroom and a bedroom suite with bath. Definitely would use again! Definitely would recommend. That said, I would want Alan Dunn as my Project Manager!

We are so happy with the results of our basement. Our project manager Joe was the best! Always responsive and always available. Cost wise we went way over budget but that was partially a result of additions we chose. Elkstone is expensive but you get what you pay for. We started end of Nov 2024 and finished middle of Jan 2025. They finished in a timely manner and it’s just beautiful. Only thing I would say could be improved is dust control. We expected some in our upstairs and they did put a tarp up but our rug on the stairs got covered in sawdust, tile dust, concrete dust. As well as the entire upstairs (floors, tv stand etc) I ran air purifiers to control some and was mopping and vacuuming often upstairs. Overall, we are impressed and would recommend and use them again!

Elkstone recently finished our basement and did an outstanding job! We highly recommend using them for basements and remodels. Glenn was our designer and Craig was our project manager. Overall it took 8 weeks to finish about 1,100 square feet and we had a lot of custom features for our walkout including a bar, wine cellar, media room, new triple sliding door, gym, bedroom and bathroom. All of the subcontractors and vendors were top notch and courteous of our home. Craig did a phenomenal job keeping us on track and was attentive to detail or road bumps that occurred throughout the process. We love our new space and can’t say enough great things about Elkstone!

We are two time Elkstone clients and have had excellent experiences both times. We finished our basement with them in 2021 and just completed a full renovation of our main floor and kitchen. We worked with Josh on design, Craig was our project manager for our most recent job, McKenzie helped us with design in their showroom, and Magda was an absolute angel handling multiple questions and updates to make sure we got our kitchen cabinets just right. We are positively thrilled with the outcome of our project and can’t believe this is our house!

We are especially grateful to Craig for being incredibly organized, present, patient, calm and cool when anything didn’t go according to plan, and proficient at keeping our project on track/on schedule. Never once did we have to question when work was occurring or where subcontractors were, and all subcontractors did beautiful work!

The portal that they use that is client facing is also so helpful- you can log in and see everything scheduling oriented, handle change orders immediately, and view your entire project efficiently and transparently.

We’re impressed, in love with our house again, and so very thankful we chose to work with Elkstone. Look no further, prospective clients- this company does not disappoint, they keep your budget transparent and in order, and deliver what they promise on time and impeccably!

ElkStone did a fantastic job finishing our basement near Broomfield, CO. We finished almost 700 sf with a gym, full bath, wet bar and entertainment area. We couldn't be more pleased with how it turned out! 🥳

It started with Keith discussing our vision and coming over for measurements. He had great attention to detail and called out flaws in our design and ways to improve our layout. Once we signed the contract we immediately got access to our portal, a color coded calendar and a project list with what to expect. The entire process was pretty seamless and we were blown away that our project ended right on our estimated end date (thanks to our PM, David).

The vendors for flooring, countertops and appliances were professional and helpful. David, our project manager, was always one step ahead and kept the project moving! He referenced our calendar and told us in advance what we needed before the next trade arrived. He responded immediately to any concerns we had and had our best interest in mind.

Like any construction project there were unexpected costs and hiccups but our PM was very transparent and we always knew the cost up front before any work was done - there were no surprises.

Overall we had a very pleasant experience and would highly recommend and rehire Elkstone.

Elkstone Basements was amazing from start to finish on our basement finishing project in Castle Rock, CO. We signed the contract on a Sunday and by Thursday they already had applied and been approved for the permits for our project. We had gone through several designs on our own, but Glenn, our designer/estimator, provided us a layout that best utilized our space met all of our wishes.

Elkstone's online project management tool was a helpful hub for keeping track of project timelines, permits, paperwork, change orders, resources, and payments. Their team’s knowledge, expertise, and coordination were helpful in making sure everything was done to a high quality and up to code. Zayne, our PM, was helpful and made sure everything was running according to the plan and was hands on when needed. We love our finished basement that we had been dreaming of for years and we’re so happy that Elkstone Basements helped us create a space that we can enjoy.
