This review is for the doctor's office admins, can't talk about the doctor because I never had a chance to see him. I'm a single mom with a toddler who has to juggle many things and been suffering with recurring UTI for the past two years. After getting cat scans for the problem and not finding any answers I have been referred by my primary care to Dr. Barba for further screening. I had to wait like two weeks for the authorization to be approved by insurance and immediately after the approval called the office to make the appointment back in November of 2024. No one answered my phone calls and left numerous messages no one returned the calls. After waiting for an entire month I had to call back again and finally someone answered and said that there is no authorization approval in my name I had to call back my primary doctor and hima office crew told me that the authorization is valid and in the system. So like a tossed ball I had to call again and after few calls finally got someone who searched high and low and found that approval and gave me an appointment for mid Dec,2024. Unfortunately got sick with Influenza A and had to call them and let them know that for a valid reason couldn't make the appointment but still was suffering with UTI and antibiotics didn't took care of it and asked for the first available one and the rude receptionist was like oh since you didn't make it in then you get to see the doctor by the end of January 2025. I was so disappointed since I had to wait about month and a half in pain to see the specialist. But it was what they said and had to wait. I was hopeful to see the doctor in the new year and get some solution for my chronic pain and discomfort and few days before my appointment someone called in a rude tone said that my appointment is being cancelled because the doctor is going to perform surgery on that day and gave me a new appointment which was mid February and again the waiting game and someone called again and moved that appointment to February 27 because again the doctor had to perform a surgery. So I was still patient enough and in pain and took that slap in the left cheek as well and all these times I had to take time off of work and didn't get paid and suffered financially as well. So come on February 26 a rude receptionist calls and says they're cancelling my appointment because of doctor's surgery scheduled and I got furious and said I'm never coming to see the doctor since the front desk is the face of the doctor . What are they business in to help people but they're hurting instead. Unprofessional out of high school kids can't get the doctor's schedule on order and mess with people's time money and nerves. This place should be shut down for their Ludacris behavior and if the doctor reads this review he should know that my opinion of him is the same as his front desk unprofessional uneducated and reckless. Spend money on hiring professionals who will be representing you before the patient gets to see you. As for me I will be seen by a reputable doctor who's front desk cares for each patient on a personal level!

Called to make an appointment waisted 30 minutes while trying to communicate with a receptionist that doesn't speak English, A second lady who was listening finally took over the call explaining that they want me to go to my primary Doctor to get the report before they would make an appointment. I commented that the first woman's English was very poor and the second woman told me to keep my comments to myself and that they will not give me an appointment. Both women should not be working having to deal with the public. Service is paramount in every industry. These women do not have the mental capacity to work in a Doctor's office. Very unprofessional staff.

This isn’t about doctor Williams because I wasn’t able to schedule with him, despite having a referral to see him. This is about his staff. I called this morning to scedule my first appointment. After pulling up my charts, she asked me about a previous urologist i went to see before getting this referral. I explained to her why i wanted to see a new doctor instead and she started GIGGLING.I don’t know what’s so funny about getting a second opinion after I didn’t feel my diagnosis resonated with me. (my pcp accepted this second referral so i must have some type of validity for wanting a second opinion.) She told me ok, i’ll call you back before 4:30 and did not give me a reason as to why. I called back soon afterwards to ask why i couldn’t schedule then, but ended up getting a different receptionist. she told me i had to go back to my doctor and get a referral for a urogyno instead. i asked why and she said because of my diagnosis, which i informed her was incorrect. she said still, i wasn’t able to book with them. i agree that a urogyno might be able to help me better because it seems that urologist mainly deal with men’s issues, but the receptionist treated me poorly and it seems like i’m not the only one.

I have been trying to call this office since 9am today (10/24/2022) its already 10:41 am after holding 20 mins it will take you to the voice prompt it will suggest ro leave your name and number they will call back but the voice dont not accept voice mail. The. You will dial again and still the same thing this is my 6 attemp call and up to now im on hold. For more than 1 1\2 hours. This is insane

Doctor David Barba, is an “Excellent Doctor”. UCLA Educated, and is the BEST!
Had “Knee Replacement Surgery” October 2018, on left knee, and “Extreemly Happy” with the results.
Looking forward to right “Knee Replacement Surgery”, on February 2019.
Can you imagine if those of us, who have painful deteriorated knees, didn’t have an alternative?
Won’t linger on that thought.

I found a “Good Doctor”, that I “Trust”.
God, Truly Blessed This Doctor’s Ability to Create and Fix, in order for us to Heal.
Never had to wait to be seen, at his Monterey Park Office, but, if I had to wait, I would, no matter how long, without complaint. Parking is Free. “And”, the staff is professional, and polite.

I got a circumcision at age 22 with Dr. William Barba. The people in the front where rude but after a while they stated getting new people and it changed but I mean don’t pay attention to them it’s about the doctor. The doctor is nice and chill. He knows what he’s doing. It took me a while to recover so at the beginning I did regret it because I thought it was his fault but now after a while, I’m loving my results it just took a while to recover.

Dr Barba prescribed andro gel for me, my insurance didn't cover it, and when I tried to contact the dr office both numbers go to voicemail. I visited the office in person just to be told in a rude manner: "well, we are short handed here" Don't waste your time with this dr office
