D&R heating and cooling are awesome! I just had a new heating and cooling unit put in last Friday March 21st and Saturday 22nd to finish up. From start to finish everything was great! Charlie came out a week or two prior to do a estimate and assessment of my old unit to the technicians Chris and Roy doing the install all very nice and professional worked diligently to get the job completed. I’m so thankful and blessed to have a new system and I highly recommend this company! God bless each of you!!

The D&R tech Adam arrived on time, assessed my HVAC system as I requested and explained everything I needed to know in a way that I could easily understand. Adam went above and beyond to help me order new furnace filters as well as clean and replace the old furnace filter u till the new ones arrive. My wife and I had D&R add a heat pump at our home's attic. It's under my wife's name, but I'm rating here as I was the one who interacted with D&R. Both an independent energy efficiency evaluation and a second HVAC company noted many deficiencies in details which I had expressed a few at the time of install which the response was if we did it that way we wouldn't be affordable. I wanted it done right, not quick. I expressed to the techs many times to take their time. One issue is the undersizing for our home's insulation level, it is just double brick. D&R came out once to address a few issues notes by another HVAC company. D&R came out, but there was an attitude of offence of having another evaluate the work. Again the fixes were just patch work instead of doing it right. Air sealing around the registers leading to the attic installed ducts. I've had two registers fall out of the ceiling because the screws didn't get put into the metal, and was just held by the ceiling's plaster. Finally the drain line in the attic was not well managed and the wiring was missing the retainer clamp for the wires on the unit in the attic. Some sections of insulation around the duct work has fallen off twice now, once after D&R's return was supposed to have fixed it. I have no interest in dealing with D&R again. Especially when on the initial quote I said I wanted a smart thermostat and their sales person said it would be, but what was delivered was only a programmable thermostat. It doesn't meet the IEEE definition as it isn't even wifi compatible. There is so much more I could write about the way the initial install was unsatisfactory, but I won't be returning unless there is a deep overhaul of their culture on the details of installing and accuracy to what is promised. Design/install the right way according to the Department of Energy Energy Star Best practices, not the quick and easy way. I would be curious how their practices would change if they had to be certified by the Building Professional Institute with the heating professional certification. During the install I showed the lead tech the energy star best practice on the DOE website and the lead tried to argue that it would damage the duct and register. Their trainee seemed like they were onboard for the best practice, but it seems leadership and cultural issues are holding D&R back from adopting and practicing what should be delivered to customers even when the customer insisted on the detail for energy efficiency. This you see in the included photos that the ducts were just taped shut though caulk and foam are the recommended sealing. This was added as the fix on the return, nothing was sealed at the attic level. Also pictured is the lines where the insulation should be complete to the unit and caulked, are cut short. The biggest thing with heat pump installation is correct sizing as well as the details of the install. In my case it works ok on many days, but there is a lot that could be better. I waited for time to evaluate the install, the return to address deficiencies, and yet I am not happy with the solution in many aspects and don't trust D&R to fix it. That is why only 1 star is given in this review.

Weekend Emergency! Middle of winter below zero temperatures! Fantastic experience! All the way around! April was very nice and helpful and Adam was very knowledgeable, professional, and great with communication. He was able to fix the issue with ease. Thank you so very much!

Very simple fix. A screw had vibrated loose from a strap in the basement and was causing the thermostat to only intermittently work.

Appointment time was the next day and the repair was quick. Very pleased with everything especially since the temperatures are in the negatives this week!!!!
