Please save yourself the agony and DO NOT GO WITH THIS DOCTOR, or for better words... his fraud "insurance person"... His "insurance" person, Brenda is a complete insurance fraud and I question her license of insurance. She supposedly has no supervisor also, just an FYI. His office staff will be very nice and will even call you for more information until you find out whats really going on in their office then they will tell you they will call you back and send you the information you will but never will actually call you back and will become very rude and uncooperative. My paper work was submitted to insurance and approved. But- if it wasn't for me calling my insurance to make sure all was confirmed and CORRECT, I would have never found out that Dr. Artuso is not an in- network doctor for my insurance (which i'm sure Brenda knew and did not feel the need to tell me). They make you sign all these papers that you will be liable for all charges your insurance does not cover, but fail to tell you he may not even be in network and fail to tell you that you need referrals for all the doctors you see in his office. If you don't have a referral, you will be charged for them also, but Brenda will not tell you that. Brenda will tell you you do not need referrals so that at the end you are charged and have to pay out pocket. Not only does she sell you false information, you will Never be able to reach her live and cannot leave a message on her non working voicemail. I am disgusted with the service I have received and thank God that I was smart enough and knew something was not right with this and double checked everything.

My experience with Dr. Artuso was awful! Not only did he not check on me in the hospital, his after care was horrible. I became anemic very fast and was put on steroids by my regular doc Bc they thought it was my asthma. He never checked my bloodwork. When I went to make appointments to follow up I was told I didn’t need appointment that basically I was on my own. I ended up having to have blood transfusions and iron infusions. I also gained all my weight back. This experience was awful I don’t wish this on anyone ever. Word to the wise “ Find a different doctor”!!!

I truly don't understand how this man still has a license to practice medicine. How many weight loss surgeries do you have to screw up before they take your license away just out of curiosity you know for the patients. 0 follow up from the surgeon or his staff completely unfriendly staff, in the world of bariatric surgery he's a joke and it's sad. I personally know three people that have gone to the surgeon and have had nothing but complications after the fact.

Please, please PLEASE. If you have even a ounce of love for yourself AVOID DOMINICK ARTUSO AND THIS WHOLE BARIATRIC AFFILIATION AT ALL COSTS. I went through things I wouldn’t wish on my own enemy.
