As many know, finding a contractor can be a real pain. We looked for quite a while and interviewed several contractors. Often they either do not return calls, do not show on time or at all, or they simply just send you a bid that is ridiculous.

We finally found Don Sheppard Construction. Don offers reliable, prompt, and courteous attention to our needs.

We recently had one of our bathrooms remodeled and are currently remodeling our master bathroom by Don Sheppard Construction. Don (and Curtis) has been wonderful. Don is a professional and reliable contractor. We are very impressed with Don's work ethics. He is always on time and keeps his commitments. He takes the time to protect our home during the construction process by covering our furniture and our floors with protective covering. When Don is finished at the end of the day, his clean up is great. It doesn't feel like construction is going on in our home. He has been flexible with scheduling and has provided us with great ideas, giving suggestions when we are struggling with design decisions.

Let me give you an example of Don's ethics. We recently had drains backup and flood part of our home. This happened after we left for work. Fortunately, Don had just arrived in the morning to start his day during the first bathroom remodel and discovered the mess. He immediately took the steps to call us and help minimize the damages. He literally saved the kitchen cabinets and walls by vacuuming water and drying up the affected areas. We were so impressed with his help and professionalism that we had him repair the damage. FYI, The backup was caused by improper use of the garbage disposal and was absolutely unrelated to remodel activity.

Our first bathroom remodel turned out beautiful thanks to Don & his employees' work(Thanks Curtis). They did a wonderful job. We love our new bathroom and are excited to have Don Sheppard Construction remodeling our master bath.

Don recently remodeled our kitchen and his work was superb! First he thought of things we didn't even think of. He was here at 8 every morning just like he said and cleaned up excellently. We could not be happier with our kitchen. He also did a wonderful paint job and made living through construction a lot easier than I thought. We loved his attention to even the smallest details, which you don't find much these days. He even came over when our counters were being installed (since we bought materials from H. Dept) Very courteous and even put a baseboard in a small part of our kitchen, which matched our other baseboards. His rate was very reasonable and there were no surprises. This is a man who definitely knows what he is doing and can advise you when needed. We are definitely using him for any other projects in the future.

FYI: If you have to wait for him to do a project for your home, he is well worth the wait!

We hired Don to fix up our tub/shower surround. Our house is an older one, and what was there was bad news: some kind of porous flooring (?) glued onto plywood, no backer board or anything. Don did a great job clearing it out and updating to be water tight and with a beautiful cultured granite surround. Best of all, he managed to fit us in the schedule before we moved in. Don was friendly and professional and did great work.

Don started and finished our shower room remodel at the agreed upon schedule; protected existing flooring, etc, cleaned up daily. He and Curtis are quiet and considerate, a great contractor to have in your home. He is a master contractor for sure. What a beautiful job!
