This company is unfortunately very unskilled at their trade. I work in construction and was therefore able to identify things that were not being done correctly early enough to call off the work and hire someone else. The average homeowner would not be able to identify many of these things and would unfortunately be left with a result that would fail over time. Some examples were drywall seems that weren’t taped and therefore began cracking, treated lumber being used in the framing of interior walls (without using the proper screws/nails), not using plates to connect headers in framing. I could go on. In addition, they damaged many areas of my hallway exiting my home, left copious amounts of construction garbage filling up my garbage bins and sitting outside in my backyard. I found screws, nails and cigarette butts on my driveway daily. And finally, they committed to completing the project in “2 weeks”- they had a staff of 15 guys that would come in pound it out. Well I knew that was unrealistic, however I didn’t think I’d be sitting there 3 months later with only half of the project done, workers showing up for maybe 2-3 hrs/ per day 1 day a week sometimes not at all for an entire week with no phone call or text.
Oh, and they ask for 50% down. That’s a clear sign that this company is not trustworthy. Every single contractor I hired to fix their mistakes and finish their job only asked for 25-30% down and remainder upon completion.
These guys are not worth the headache.

David and team finished our basement, adding a large playroom, wet bar area, 1/2 bath, and another room. They provided a high-quality end product for much less than other contractors.

Although took longer than expected, they did a good job with my basement at a far more reasonable price when compared to some quotes (which included a rec room, bedroom, and work office).

What started out as a good experience unfortunately did not end the same way. David was nice, but we don’t believe in doing business the same way. I was assured the negative reviews and news articles were not reflective of how the business is run. Dates and deadlines were not met. We were quoted “worst case scenario” and it was agreed we would be informed if costs were going to reach that amount. An invoice was sent after a deadline and for the “worst case scenario” amount, no warning. The work that was quoted on the “worst case scenario” was not completed, we had to ask for it to be done. Poor communication caused problems during a real estate transaction and resulted in a negative experience.
