I would give Diaz Stucco more stars than are in the sky if I could! They truly shine soooooo bright! We did not have a big or expensive job BUT we were treated like royalty! Jovani’s workers were professional to the max!!! Their work is beyond perfectly beautiful and the job was finished in a timely manner. Communication was excellent, we knew when to expect the workers and they were always prompt, courteous and left everything in pristine condition! The house looks brand new! They stuccoed, painted, cleaned the gutters, and cleared up everything so well! IMPRESSIVE!!!! I am soooooo thankful I chose Diaz Stucco! Integrity, kindness, caring, professional …. They have it all!!!! Customer satisfaction all the way!!!!

The most important qualities I look for when finding a contractor is reliability, honesty, and professionalism. Jovani and his team embody all three of these. They do such beautiful work that when it was time to find a stucco contractor again, there was no doubt we would be contacting Jovani. He and his crew always show up on time when they say they will (unlike some other contractors who see fit to arrive whenever they feel like it). I’ve experienced my share of contractors who agree on a certain price in the beginning, then try to screw you out of extra money at the end. This does NOT happen with Jovani. In fact, he re-stuccoed some areas of my building that cracked when my ADU settled into the foundation over the years at no extra charge. He also redid some areas in my main building because I didn’t like the original patchwork (which wasn’t even done by him) without any complaints or extra fees. I highly recommend Jovani and his team. If you want something done correctly, quickly, and at a great price, don’t hesitate to call him!!

Our house was built in 2021 and we moved into our home in November of 2021. Naturally, homes will settle, cracks will appear, and then those cracks are repaired and all is well.

This is where Diaz Plastering starts to show their true colors (or lack of colors I guess…see photos attached).

They came out and repaired the cracks, which was covered under our warranty. Well that’s great and all, except they didn’t use a matching product, both color and texture (again, see photos attached).

A neighbor had a separate contractor outside and noticed that the workers were using a paint scraper to make the cracks bigger, and then they filled the cracks with what appeared to be silicone, and then proceeded to use their hands and finger paint the cracks. No texturing, no brushes. Their fingers. (This was actually witnessed and reported to us).

So we submit our complaints again. They came back out and restuccoed 80% of the walls of the house (which look good for the most part), the only down side is, they used a much lighter color than our original color so half of my house look a white. The other half of my house looks beige. Very tacky. (See photos attached).

I reported this once more as the texture issue is very obvious and the color not matching is quite embarrassing (keep in mind, this is a half a million dollar home and it’s less than 2 years old).

Instead of attempting to fix it again, they sent a letter that states “they’ve gone above and beyond normal measures to appease customer complaints”.

So now they are refusing to fix the problem, and I’m stuck with the photos attached.

Side note: when they came to repair our patio stucco, they took our BRAND NEW white outdoor couch cushions and set them on a very dirty firepit, in a rainy day, with no cover. It wasn’t until we complained that they were covered (and it wasn’t even them that covered them. It was a neighbor.)

The lack of professionalism in our experience with Diaz Plastering was beyond frustrating and one of the worst experiences we’ve ever had with a contractor.

Photos context:
- obvious texture differences where repairs were made. Normal stucco is porous. Repairs were not made to match.
-on covered patio, you can see the ceiling is white, the walls are beige. They redid our ceiling and did not redo the walls. These matched color at one point. Not anymore.
-repairs made at corners of windows are different color and texture. Very obvious where these repairs were made. Embarrassing.

I met Giovanni at the veterinarian hospital. At the time I had somebody already doing my bathroom tile but prior to that I had just fired one contractor and tore all the tile off the wall and called it a loss. Giovanni never said anything negative about The second contractors work, he never threw himself at us trying to get work. So the second contractor ended up doing such a horrible job that I also tore all his tail off and luckily had a defect in the tile that we had purchased from a local tile place in Bakersfield. So they refunded me all the tile and grout that I use the second time. that’s when I contacted Giovanni and explain to him everything that had went bad all the issues I had with the past two contractors and that at this point I was going to attempt to do it myself. Giovanni got his guys in the very next day and went to town on it. they did such an amazing job not only that but I was missing a couple things and I had bought the wrong hardy backer. So Giovanni and his guys went and purchased the right things that I needed to get the job done and finished it in two days. No he is going to start on my backsplash this Friday and I will also post pictures. Thank you Giovanni my family appreciate you because we literally didn’t have a 2nd shower for five months and sharing one shower with two teenagers especially two girl teenagers and my 11 year old son was a headache!!

Thanks again, very much, to EVERYONE at Diaz Plastering for making this re-stucco project a painless experience. The phone/office team was outstanding in getting the estimate and scheduling done promptly. The installation crew were AMAZING! They were early to the job, very friendly, super knowledgeable, and they were true artists of their craft. The texture is now perfect and the final result came out far better than I could have ever expected. GREAT COMPANY. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

We hired Diaz Plastering for a house facelift with new stucco, brick work, and paint. We could not be happier with the end product of our house. In today's environment it is refreshing to know that there are contractors still available that care about their end product and perform at a high level. From the start Jovanni (Owner) was great to deal with and brought a number of ideas to our project. We told him our vision and he made sure that his team executed it. The entire teams communication, execution, and attention to detail was present from the start of the project. All the work was scheduled and communicated efficiently. The various teams always arrived on time and ensured that when they left for the day the work was always cleaned up. Nobody knew that in the middle of the project that we would need an electrician and plumber for some last minute repairs/changes, but Jovanni took care of it with no questions asked.
