The absolute worst experience imaginable, these guys are not professional or quality tile installers! Before beginning the project, I was assured by Eric Linder and Ryan Brunelle that they were capable of providing the best possible tile installation. Once the project was completed, the final product they delivered was absolutely horrific. We found:

• The substrate was not prepared correctly, without leveler/grinding to ensure flatness -even though we paid extra to ensure minimal/no lippage.
• Majority of the grout lines were crooked
• Chipped tiles were installed
• Several hollow tiles
• Majority of grout joints were over-grouted
• A floor sealer designed for asphalt was used on the entire floor (porcelain tile) that changed the tile from matte to satin/gloss and resulted in splotches and streaks (coating broke down within weeks and looked even worse!)
• Severe lippage (out of 214 tiles, 140+ showed lippage)

During installation we brought up several concerns to Eric however he continually assured us that they were fixing any problems and that everything will be perfect when they are finished. Not once did they catch any mistakes or problems with the installation and only acted on issues that we brought to their attention. They reworked 15% of the project (out of 1,400 sqft) however even that wasn’t done correctly/professionally and looked horrible.

Once completed, we confronted Eric about how unhappy we were with their work, all the problems that we were concerned with during installation and that they failed to correct them. He was very proud of their work and became extremely defensive even though the installation was nauseating. After spending 45 minutes trying to show Eric the problems with the installation, he continually refused to see any of the issues as problems and denied there was anything wrong, trying to gaslight us into being satisfied with less-than-amateur work. We knew at that point that it was impossible to have them fix something that they refused to see a problem with. Eric promised us throughout the project that they would do whatever it takes to make sure we were satisfied however he never backed up his words.

Eric and Ryan showed themselves to be dishonest and continually over-promised and under-delivered, gaslighting us the entire time. Desert Prestige builders are not professional tradesmen capable of quality tile installation work. What kind of company gives themselves a 5-star review (Ryan Brunelle)?

Do yourself a favor and do not work with this inept company. Do your homework and find a company that owns the correct equipment and has the experience and expertise to provide you with a professional tile installation. Find a company that understands and follows the standards set out by the Tile Council of North America so you don’t waste time, energy and money!

I've included a few pictures of this disaster.

Eric, Ryan, and their crew were amazing. Our project involved replacing all flooring, reconfiguring our kitchen, and custom walk-in showers in two bathrooms. It was our first major remodel and did not know what to expect and they helped us through the whole process, and we could not be happier with the results. We would 100% recommend Desert Prestige Builders to our friends! Thank you again for all your hard work and the beautiful home we now have. We Love it!

We had the perfect experience. Eric was incredibly professional. He set realistic expectations, did not over commit and definitely went above and beyond. Our project was completed ahead of schedule. That may not be the case for all their projects, I can assure you they will certainly do their best! Eric was also involved through the entire project. The site was clean everyday and we always felt valued. We will have future projects and it is a relief knowing that we have found our forever contractor. Thanks Eric!

I recently had my bathroom completely updated including a door repositioning. The owner, Ryan Brunell was very helpful with suggestions of products and also listened to me carefully so I ended up with my little piece of heaven in the end. He was timely and took care to respect my space leaving my home nice and clean on departure. After he remodeled my whole condo, I would not have gone to anyone else for my bathroom remodel. Scored a 10/10 from me!!

Desert Prestige Builders (Eric Linder and Ryan Brunelle) are incompetent and unprofessional. Eric Linder, Ryan Brunelle completely botched our 1,400 sqft tile installation.
Eric Linder admitted to not preparing the floor to ensure it was flat before installing the tile and admitted his company didn’t even own a 10ft straight edge to make sure the tile and floor was flat. They didn’t even know how to use the tile spacers correctly. They also went an extra step to prove how inept they were and put a polish on our matte porcelain tile that was not meant for use on porcelain tile. This lead to permanent unsightly streaking, hazing and clouding throughout the entire surface of the floor.
All of their incompetence and lack of skill also lead to:
-Crooked grout lines
-Unevenly laid tile throughout (so uneven in some areas that it caused tripping hazards)
-Over-grouting (grout covering corners and edges of uneven tile)
-Under-grouting (leaving deep channels between tile)
-Inconsistent grout coloring (ranging from every shade of gray to white)
They attempted to fix and replace several problem areas of the floor but failed horribly.
We hired an expert tile consultant to inspect their tile job. The expert found so many mistakes, that were so numerous, throughout the entire floor that he deemed the tile job unsalvageable, and it would therefore need to be completely demolished and replaced.
We shared the expert’s findings with Eric Linder and asked for our money back. He said he would contact us within 24 hours. We did not hear from him.
Desert Prestige still has not refunded our money. Dealing with Desert Prestige has been a nightmare. We have lost a large sum of our hard-earned money, and have had to pay again to completely replace their disastrous tile job! Please be aware that there is not adequate protection for consumers! Please do your research! Read reviews! This is the first negative review I have ever written. I hope this saves others from making the huge mistake of hiring Desert Prestige Builders, Eric Linder or Ryan Brunelle.

In fact, they prove their true character when Ryan Brunelle, a business partner of Desert Prestige Builders, has posted a 5 star review on Google under his own business Desert Prestige Builders!!!!
