I originally needed to get my roof redone as part of a solar installation project, and the solar company referred me to Cosmic Roofing as their preferred partner. Due to the unusual roof slope on my house, several other companies had turned me down for this project.

Cosmic sent me David A. to go over the initial conversation of the project. We talked about work streams, dates, expectations, areas of concern, and of course the price. He showed me sample tiles, colors, materials, and explained some items that I hadn't taken into account, such as adding new vents to pass the permit process. I felt like David really understood what needed to be done and how he would tackle it. That was why I felt comfortable signing a work order right away.

The tiles were delivered within days, which I was pleasantly surprised at. The roof installers came the next day, and did their job efficiently. Permits were reviewed the same week, and I officially had a new roof in less than a month's time. It's commendable how efficient this company is. My house is now noticeably cooler on sunny days because David recommended the white roof tiles. Of course, the fast speed made it easy for the solar company to do their installation too.

We're very happy to have worked with Cosmic Renovation and Roofing. It wasn't until I spoke with David that I found out they also do solar installations. I might've had them make a bid for the solar work as well, but since I had already decided on someone else, it wasn't in the cards. Anyways, if you're looking to add solar to your roof, give Cosmic a call for a quote.

After the December "atmospheric river" we discovered not one but three leaks inside the house from our built-in gutters. We could find only two companies willing to do a repair in a reasonable timeframe. Ben from Cosmic Renovation and Roofing was prompt and helpful in setting up a schedule. After a couple of minor schedule slips, the job was completed in two days. Cosmic's roofers were friendly and polite, and cleanup of waste materials was good except for sawdust all over the yard. Of course, it hasn't rained since. I'll update this review as necessary after the next downpour!

Following a recent storm, we discovered a leak in our roof. We contacted Cosmic Renovations to come out and make the necessary repairs. Ben Itzhak arrived on time and proceeded to assess the roof and provide an estimate for repairs. He was very thorough, taking numerous photographs of the roof. Going over the photos, Ben explained what he saw and answered all our questions. After discussing our options, we determined a complete roof replacement was best. Their pricing was comparable to other companies in our area. The work was completed on schedule and Ben oversaw the project from start to finish. The workers were courteous and punctual. We recommend Cosmic Renovations & Roofing highly and would use them again!

We worked with many project managers, but Blake from Cosmic Renovation and Roofing is certainly the best! It’s such a pleasure to talk about your dream house with someone that really enjoys what he’s doing. We contacted him because we wanted a more eco-friendly lifestyle, and we thought that solars panels were the best option. Blake did a wonderful job, he was meticulous and inventive, and he made sure that everything else is in peak condition. We definitely recommend them!

Do you like dishonesty, intimidation tactics, and incompetence? Then these guys are for you! We purchased a home with a new roof that had been installed by Cosmic one month prior to sale. One year later we have to completely replace the roof due to leaking tar dripping down from the roof. When I reached out to Cosmic as we have a warranty, they stated this was not their fault b/c the leaking underlayment was coming from residue from a prior roof. They offered to send someone out to take a look and the man they used intimidation tactics sent defensively stated this is not my fault and began yelling at me and bullying me. Later, they offered to remove the old roof at cost. We wrote back (3 times) to accept their offer to remove the roof and they failed to respond. What we have experienced is lack of accountability, extreme disrespect, and lack of follow through and honesty. UPDATE: The roofing company we hired to replace the work were shocked the roof did not leak (i think we have a drought to thank for that). Comic skimped on the materials and did not have sufficient overlap between the shingles.

We had an excellent experience with Cosmic Roofing when they replaced the roofing on our home in El Cerrito. The job was done within the estimated time-frame and for the agreed upon cost. The company's rep, Alon, was particularly helpful, knowledgeable, professional, and honest (along with being a really nice guy). He made sure we were satifsied with the choices we made re: roofing material and with the scope and execution of the job. It was a real bonus that the company took care of getting all the city permits for us, which otherwise can be a real pain (especially in El Cerrito) if you have to do it yourself. All requirements made by the city inspector were dealt with efficiently. We also appreciated that they took extra steps to avoid any damage or oil-staining of our brand new resurfaced driveway (paver stones) which had been completed just one week before the roofing project. (Thank you for taking extra care!) The only area that could use a little improvement would be for better communication from the on-site project manager and possibly more attention paid to the after-job cleanup. Otherwise it was a surprisingly good experience for a project like this and I would highly recommend Cosmic Roofing to anyone else looking for a high quality roof replacement.
