We have worked with Ahcene and the gang for a few years now, and have done about 100 projects together. From my experience with him and his team has been nothing but professional and always delivers what we need. Read the guys review on the plan sent that had issues with "the shower pan".... These are engineers. If you need a shower pan drawn up have your architect draw them up, if you need to put a hole in a wall or remove a bearing wall you call an engineer.

I've actually never written a negative review of a company before (I usually want to support local businesses), but I felt the need to hop on and warn people before they give Colorado Structural Consultants (Ahcene Djebli) their business. In this case, if I could have gone lower than 1 star, I would.

My wife and I are trying to build an A-Frame cabin in the mountains and our builder recommended using Ahcene. We had existing plans that we'd purchased online that needed some slight modifications (about a 15' addition off the back). We were promised it would take a week to get this done. After two weeks of hearing nothing, we reached out and they sent us their "finished plans" which was just the existing plans we had already purchased online with their logo slapped on top.

We sent another email (the same email we sent in the beginning) that explained the scope in a line-by-line list. Another 2 weeks went by hearing nothing...we reached out again...and they sent the same plans we'd purchased with their logo on top (nothing changed). I decided to call them and set up an in-person meeting at their office to see if we could clear up this issue in person.

When I showed up at their office, Ahcene wasn't even there (he was the one that scheduled the meeting) so I talked with his business partner until he got back. They had made changes, but had several very basic mistakes (i.e. a shower, toilet, and sink all at a zero height in the low corner of the a-frame; stairs that ran right into the ceiling, and upstairs bedrooms that were inaccessible). I tried to sit down and walk through the changes together, but anytime I would point out a mistake or revision that needed to be made, both Ahcene and his coworker would begin yelling, calling me a liar, saying that "they were the engineers and knew best".

They denied ever receiving an initial email detailing the modifications, said they never got a dropbox file with the files we'd already purchased online, and several other things even though I was able to pull up those emails (and their responses to those emails) on the spot. It was such a weird meeting because they were extremely aggressive/hostile over things that were very easily fact checked. They wanted even more money to make these "changes" and would not do any more work until we paid them more. I could go on and talk more about their lack of communication and professionalism, but I'd recommend checking out their reviews from other people on Yelp/Google too (lots of other horrific stories from these guys that I wish we had read before paying).

In the end, we lost $2,500 and received literally nothing back. We're currently in the process of trying to get some sort of refund back since they failed to deliver on anything we originally asked for, but they haven't been helpful at all and are still very unresponsive. I doubt we'll get any money back, but at least I have a good story I can tell at parties now haha.

Unprofessional/didn't deliver on expectations/inaccurate/details missing. Waste of time/money. Would not recommend. Better to look elsewhere. Bad experience.
