Update 2: Richmond fired the previous superintendent and the new one actually has gotten a lot of my issues fixed. Still waiting on some paint work, but finally progress in the right direction. Still very disappointed that it took 3+ months after closing to get issues resolved.

Update: I contacted the e-mail address in the response from Richmond and was also ignored on that. So that's great. Still waiting on all of the items below to be addressed except the thermostats now over 4 weeks after closing.

Original: After being forced to close on my house 3 weeks earlier than I wanted to, here is a subset of the issues still present in my home now that I'm 4 weeks post closing:
-Paint/Texture/Drywall/Trim issues throughout
-Thermostats not hooked up correctly
-Dishwasher drain not hooked up correctly (luckily I caught this before running it)
-Vinyl tile incorrectly installed on the stairs using brad nails instead of glue
-Two gaps in my vinyl tile flooring
-Two doorknobs missing
-Wrong doorknob installed on a bedroom (no privacy lock)
-Stair hand rails never painted
-Stair railings are improperly installed. I can literally pull screws out with my fingers.
-Painters tape still in several locations including outside
-Crawlspace had a bunch of random trash
-Missing shelf pegs in my very expensive cabinets
-Minor scratches on cabinets that should have been touched up, no touch up kit provided
-Carpet was not cleaned up after installation - carpet shards all over the place

The list of additional minor stuff goes on and on. I have been totally ignored by the construction team since closing.

If you buy with Richmond, do not send money or sign closing documents until everything that should be done is done, otherwise they'll just ignore you afterwards even if it's on the list of things to finish.

Worst new home building company in America, poor quality, terrible project manager (Nathan) shouldn’t be managing anything in his life. Make you move in without completely finished home, and than you wait months to get it done. My Brother in law and parents just bought their homes in Arvada. Job quality of Subs is horrific. Every house has a drain issue on sides of the house looks and smells like swamp on each side. Very very sloppy, looks good from distance and very bad quality from close up. Check pictures below 👇 and seen their “quality”, I could of taken 50 similar photos

Richmond homes is the worst builder in the state of Colorado. Horrible workmanship. Poorly built homes. Richmond will not honor the 1 year warranty. Please talk to the thousands of Richmond Homes owners and listen to the plethora of complaints. Please stay away from this Builder.

I'd like to start out by saying that I waited almost a full year from closing to get on here to write an accurate review.
The closing on our home in February 2023 went smoothly. A handful of our "punch items" were addressed before we signed the papers, however we still had a list of probably 12 items that were supposed to be fixed within a month. One the the largest being maybe 6 different cabinet repairs where our cabinet doors were severely damaged or missing all together. All cosmetic things, so we weren't too worried....
Except that dealing with the previous building supervisor turned out to be a total nightmare. I would contact him via phone to schedule contractors to come out to finish items and I'd never hear back. Weeks would go by and I'd repeat the process. Finally after months, we'd get things scheduled. Contractors would show up to do their jobs and they'd say, "oh, we were only told we had this repair to do," when in actuality, there was several items that were supposed to be communicated to them. So I'd have to turn around and play the game again to get the same contractor back out to finish the job. I'll spare you all the details because it was almost an entire year of back and forth before things were finished. I will say, our warranty rep. GAIL has been the only saving grace for us. After they apparently fired the building supervisor, I was able to contact Gail for outstanding items and within 3 hours (!!) of reaching out to her, I had the cabinet contractor scheduled to finish the final repairs (10 months after closing)...minus one thing he couldn't do without us having the fridge moved...not even sure it's worth the headache at this point.
This is all trivial annoyances compared to the real issues we've dealt with. Over the summer, we lost power to our AC at least half a dozen times. My husband would have to go out and flip the breaker to re-set. Ironically our neighbors to either side were having the same issue!! It was almost comical that all of us would be losing AC, texting back and forth "do you have AC today?" Our issue ended up being a "charge" issue and once the unit was recharged, it worked correctly going forward. Our neighbors I know needed to get some piece replaced. Thought that was the worst of it until the winter hit...
In the last month we've lost total heat twice.
We have 2 small children and woke up in the morning to freezing fingers and toes. The first time, the heating company responded quickly and was able to restore heat. He said it "shouldn't happen again but if it does, they will need to replace parts." Well...here I am writing this review, 2 hours after calling the 'emergency' line and still nothing has even been scheduled. I'm just so disappointed in the quality of this home that we spend entirely way too much money on. A new home SHOULD NOT have all of these major system malfunctions within the first year.
1 star is for the fact that I can't give zero stars but I genuinely like the layout of my home, and 1 star is for Gail who gets her own star because she is wonderful.
