Cerletti and Kennedy did our kitchen remodel in July 2022. The renovation took about four months. We are delighted with the new layout. Everyone, including their subcontractors, from the demo to the finishing, was very knowledgeable and professional. They cleaned up at the end of each day. Robert provided the best price among the other bids we received. Matt executed an excellent design layout that was very functional and classic. He even included a walk-in pantry that I never thought would fit into our small space. Matt and Reuben have very good eyes for details. Matt took the time to review the punch list with me on the final walkthrough. I would highly recommend this company.

We’ve had a lot of work done on our house the last 3 years: new pavers for the driveway and around the house, new pool house, painting in side and out, replaced AC & heat. Through all the work, I worked with a lot of contractors. Of all the folks I worked with, Cerletti & Kennedy is at the top of my list. The earthquake work isn’t visible like the other work done on our house but it’s definitely very important work. I feel so much better now that the earthquake work has been done. Matt, one of the partners was very helpful, informative and responsive. The workers were very friendly and polite. They cleaned up every day and did their best to work around our busy schedule. The bid was very competitive and the results were outstanding. They also did a great job with submitting information to EBB and our city inspector. We highly recommend Cerletti & Kennedy for the Earthquake Bolt & Brace (EBB) work done on our home in Pittsburg, California, in September 2024. If our experience is any indication of the quality of their work, we can also highly recommend them for any other construction work you may need.

Once our EBB application was approved, I endeavored to get a good range of quotes: I received seven quotes from different companies, even though only three were required. There was one company that stood out from the rest, providing comprehensive information on the materials to be used as well as the installation process. Matt Kennedy also spent a fair amount of time on the phone with me, explaining exactly what the work entailed. Happily, their quote came in under the amount allotted by EBB.

What really cinched the deal for me was that I didn’t have to come up with any money up front for the permits or inspections. Cerletti & Kennedy handled everything for us. To top that, the two-man crew they sent out were two of the nicest workers I’ve encountered. They were efficient, neat, and cleaned up at the end of each work day, accomplishing the whole job in less than a week. No stress, no problems; just peace of mind. Simply put, a job well-executed. Definitely would highly recommend Cerletti & Kennedy! We contacted them for a full kitchen remodel and entire home flooring installation. First met with Matt a conscientious and detailed design engineer who listened to my ideas, did the technical drawings and measurements including brainstorming how the design would work. Matt created a wonderful design of the kitchen— cabinets, countertops, lighting, backsplash, down to the finishes for example cabinet and drawer pulls and handles. The kitchen including the appliances is beautiful!

Robert gave us a bid on the project and was the contractor in charge of the crews and coordinated trades from demo to installation of plumbing, electrical, dry wall, cabinets, lighting, etc. Although there was a slight delay of a week or two the job was completed and professional done. The crews were polite, hard working and respectful of your property. The photos speak for themselves!

We heard about Cerletti & Kennedy by way of the California Residential Mitigation Program’s Earthquake Brace and Bolt Program (EBB). Cerletti & Kennedy were listed as one of the several contractors who met the criteria to install the bracing and the bolting which is used to anchor the frame of the house to its foundation. I received phone calls and emails and screened several contractors on EBB’s list. I consulted the California’s Contractors State License Board’s website to check the status of the several contractors. Because I have worked in the insurance industry, I personally preferred those contractors who have workers compensation insurance. Eventually, I narrowed down my choices to three contractors. All three contractors visited our property and provided us estimates for the work. Matt Kennedy was our initial contact with Cerletti & Kennedy. He came to our home, explained the entire process, answered questions, and took pictures. On our behalf, Cerletti & Kennedy obtained the building permit and then, following approval by EBB, scheduled the work and installation underneath the house. Their workers were courteous and efficient. There was minimal intrusion into our home and a limited amount of disruption. Originally, Matt stated it would take three days to complete the project. But it only took two days for Cerletti & Kennedy to complete the work. On the morning of day three the city inspector crawled underneath our house, made his inspection, and then signed his approval on the building permit. It is great to have a bit less concern about when “The Big One” shakes our home. Now we have more peace of mind. The other great benefit toward having this work done is that we should soon be receiving a significant discount on our earthquake insurance premiums year in and year out.
