We love our new kitchen! Cavalier Builders did a fabulous job in getting it done. Sharon, our contractor, was great in organizing the different jobs from demolition, painting, cabinet installation, tiles, to plumbing in a timely manner. His team, consisting of Carlos (cabinet), Fernando (painting), Eddie (tiles), and Sammy (plumbing), were excellent at their jobs. They were professional, punctual, and just very nice guys. They always cleaned up every day and were very respectful of our space. I originally wanted white upper cabinets and natural base cabinets. However, once done, we didn’t like it. Sharon was great in allowing me to change my base cabinet color to a greenish gray which in hindsight turned out better than we expected.

When it came to choosing a contractor, Cavalier wasn’t the cheapest or the most expensive. We decided to go with them because it sounded like he had a team of workers who'd been with him for a long time. On top of that, Sharon was very prompt in replying to all of my texts and questions which I appreciated. He’s also very knowledgeable about everything and will help you along the way. I’m so glad we went with Cavalier because everything went smoothly and promptly. My family is enjoying our new kitchen and how bright and open it is now. Thank you, Sharon and your team!

We are the fourth in our family to use this family owned and run business, which should really say something about this business, and we continue to refer. It started with my aunt and uncle to added onto their home in the Hollywood Hills, another aunt and uncle to redid their kitchen and built an attached man cave, and my mom who had her kitchen and every bathroom redone. We just had our builder grade bathrooms redone and I couldn’t be happier. We had the opportunity to work with Sharon and his crew of Felix and Marcel. I have no idea how Sharon keeps everything and everyone straight, but he does and with a smile and such graciousness. He is available, responsive, up front and on site to check the work and progress. The pricing is clear and broken down without hidden costs. And the time lines are spot on. He is present at the end for inspection/walk through and asks you to do the same and is always willing to fix any minor thing that might not be to your liking. Sharon and David were absolutely fantastic with our bathroom remodel! We dealt with another contractor last year for a different project and they were terrible. Over promised, under delivered, and gave me contractor PTSD. They had a 5 star review though so when I originally met with Sharon, I had my guard up.

Fast forward and I cannot recommend Sharon and David enough. The finished the project in the exact timeframe they said they would, and everything was done top notch. They were extremely communicative throughout the process, and were just a pleasure to work with. Will absolutely use them on any future projects we have.

We were under a time crunch with guests arriving and they got it done. Have already recommended them to a neighbor. The crew were respectful and cleaned up at the end of each day.

TLDR: Cavalier Builders are trustworthy, great quality, extremely responsive and problem solvers. I will 100% use them again for my future house projects and happily refer them to my friends/family.

My wife and I are fortunate to be new homeowners. We met Cavalier through a friend/referral, knowing the many horror stories about people's experiences with general contractors. We needed (1) a primary bathroom remodel, (2) a closet to bathroom conversion, (3) a primary bedroom closet creation, (4) new floors and (5) full interior paint job. We poured our savings into purchasing the home, and we are a dual-earning household with no help, so we needed to pick the right contractor to get the job done quickly and correctly the first time since we both work full-time.

David, Tal and their team began work immediately after we signed our contracts. They were hitting all of their milestones and keeping in touch with us throughout the process. David is very good at what he does. He had great vision in the overall project, and also the more granular items like how colors and textures would complement each other. Aside from his calming and reassuring nature, his most notable trait was his memory -- he could recall small details from our early conversations with ease. Tal is a trustworthy, ambitious and knowledgeable person as well. From speaking with him, you can easily tell that he truly cares about (and loves) the work that he does, and it shows in his commitment to answering weekend calls, showing up early and staying until the day's job is finished. It was refreshing to see that level of commitment coming from Tal.

Cavalier finished the project on time and within the originally quoted budget, but as these things go, we did encounter some issues. Unbeknownst to us and to Cavalier, the bathtub that was installed in our primary bathroom was a manufacturer's defective bathtub. We texted David and Tal the morning after we discovered the defect, and they sent guys over to determine the cause. They had plumbers go underneath our house to check if there was a problem with the installation, but that was not it. Ultimately, David filed a claim with Kohler notifying them of the issue, and Kohler sent out technicians to check if it was a manufacturer or an installation defect (it was determined to be a manufacturer defect). Kohler noted they do not typically cover the cost of labor, but they were willing to pay for a portion of the removal/reinstallation costs. It was not an easy replacement of the tub, as the tub was built into the flooring/tiling, so David had his guys come out to remove the glass door, demo a portion of the flooring/tiling, cut the tub in half to remove it, and then reverse the whole process by reinserting the new tub, redoing the flooring/tiling, re-caulking the bathroom and re-installing the glass sliding doors. By the time they were done, it looked exactly like the first time, but with the correct tub.

When the bathtub job was complete, Cavalier was coming out of pocket for the additional labor because Kohler was not willing to cover the entire labor costs. David told me not to worry about the additional costs, and that he looked forward to our next projects together. Because the experience was so positive overall, and because they problem-solved this bathtub defect after the job was completely finished and paid for (when I expect most GCs would have become unresponsive), I sent their company a portion of the additional costs as goodwill.

They say that you can only have 2 out of 3: (i) speed, (ii) cost and (iii) quality. We trusted Cavalier to get the job done and I would firmly say that they basically got as close to all 3 as I've seen. Thank you David, Tal and team for making our new home into our dream home!!
