Frank and Rob did a major renovation on our house. They had to fix the previous contractors work that we had originally hired to do the job. They had to do roofing, drywall , moldings, texturing, and plumbing. Basically they had to rip out and redo all the work from the previous contractor.

Not only did they replace the flooring that made noise they found damage that the other contractor hid to the floor joists. They had to replace them and then replace the flooring and drywall.

Rob is an engineer and made sure our house was structurally safe. They only work with permits. That way even there customers feel better that everything is done to code.

We continue to hire them for little improvements that we have now. They even had to fix our tile roof that had a major leak with the bad storms this winter. They also had to replace the drywall on the ceiling and walls under the leak. They even dried the walls before redoing everything.

They give very fair price for their work. They only leave when customer is satisfied.

Both Frank and Mehrab were true experts in their professions and did a fangastic job for us. We listened to their recommendations where warranted and were happy with the results. They had utilized the best subs in the industry to finish the work. I am a retired engineer and all their works passed the technical aspects.

The first words that come to my mind when thinking about Candu & Diplomat Builders are: knowledgeable, dependable, reliable, perfectionists, tidy, organized, and hard working.

Here's my backstory. I was in the process of getting solar installed on my house and found that I needed a new roof. Initially, I hired a local roofer who claimed to have experience repairing and replacing roofs. Unfortunately, that was not true. Instead of knowing about roofing, the first roofer (who will remain anonymous) destroyed my roof. I had no roof on my house and my attic was exposed to the elements and critters. I fired the first roofer, but needed help fast.

Candu & Diplomat came to the rescue!!! They may not be the cheapest, but in my opinion, you get what you pay for and Candu & Diplomat are the best in the business.

The owners know construction, remodeling, and roofing -- both residential and commercial. They walked the site and inspected every inch. A contract was written. Permits were pulled. Work was impeccably done on time. Property was immaculate when they left each day. Crew members came when they told us they would and were knowledgeable and hard working. All concerns were addressed in a timely manner whether by telephone, text messages, or emails. The city inspection passed with flying colors. We were well cared for.

The secret to their success seems to be that this is a family business that has passed down construction and remodeling information from generation to generation. On top of that, the owners are licensed and have the education needed to run a successful business. Engineers are on staff who review building plans and work closely with city inspectors to ensure the job is done correctly in a timely manner.

I have a big house. The roof was replaced in July when temperatures were over 100 degrees F. None of the crew or owners complained. No shortcuts were made. They ensured that the roof would hold the weight of the solar panels, withstand high winds, and extreme temperatures. The final result was that the roof was finished on time and looks beautiful. It's a shame we covered some of it up with solar panels.
