This engineering firm is the worst that I’ve had to deal with in all of my experience. The firm always has delayed responses which has caused my project multiple delays, and the final invoices I have received are double or triple the original quotation provided. I recommend that any person that would like to have good customer service and engineering services at reasonable prices look elsewhere.

CalLand Engineering has provided Surveying, Soils Reports and Grading Plans for my Custom Homes for some 25 years. Its great when all of these services are under one roof. Their fees are very reasonable. Just give them a fair amount of time to do their great service.

Sent them an email with a TTM for a Geo investigation and never received a response for a quote. My friend who’s a plan checker from the city said “they are the best” - but if their response rate is any indication it would be like pulling teeth working with these guys.

Deeply Disappointed. The geotechnical report was delayed six weeks. Cal Land refused to apologize and explain clearly the reason for the delay because the delay did not cause significant delay damage. Six weeks means a lot to an ongoing project. The delay did not cause much delay damage because we were lucky this time, but that should not be the excuse for Cal Land to shirk their responsibility for the delay.
Please remember to insist on putting the completion time and penalty clause as a contract term in the agreement with Cal Land.

Poor service……This was my first time to find a company to do my house’s soil report, and they promised to give me the report within 5 to 6 weeks. However, they were not and gave me a reason that the person who was responsible on my report was not working on Calland anymore… I understood and realized that was an sudden issue, and then they were not following up my report, and I got the report until eleventh week. They were not responsible on their delayed works and never admitted that’s their faults.
