Nothing quite matches the value of a well-built business rooted in a small community. Our relationship with Callahan & Sons Plumbing (Now days better known as Callahan and Dad Plumbing and Septic) goes back more than 20 years—some of my earliest memories are of watching them come into my parents’ home, calmly and skillfully fixing whatever needed attention.

Now, as a homeowner myself, it’s easy to understand why they’ve earned such a solid reputation. Getting on their schedule can sometimes take a bit, but it’s always worth the wait. They are true professionals—skilled, trustworthy, and consistent in the quality of their work.

Most recently, we faced a difficult issue involving our connection to an old, fragile sewer system. It was a stressful situation, but Callahan approached it with care and expertise. They didn’t just offer a quick fix—they took the time to diagnose the root problem, explain everything clearly, and walk us through smart, cost-effective solutions. We felt completely confident in their hands.

What really sets them apart, though, is their thoughtful and human approach. Before stepping into the home, they made sure to ask permission, introduce themselves warmly, and confirm that their presence was welcome—especially important since a young woman was house-sitting at the time. They took the time to explain what they’d be doing, checked in often, and created a sense of calm and safety throughout the visit. It wasn’t just about getting the job done—it was about doing it in a way that respected the people and space involved.

Highly recommend Callahan and San plumbing. My Aunt had her septic freeze up. We noticed it on a Saturday. Called many of the plumbers in town, Callahan was the only one who responded. Because of the lack of snow and cold weather he could not get to us right away. He had several jobs ahead of ours. He contacted me each day until he could get us in to his schedule. He clearly cares about his customers and goes above and beyond what I expected. It’s now Monday, the septic is working and he is still the only one to contact us. Thank you Callahan and Son!

We had a problem with our shower with the angle pipe for the shower head breaking off! After trying to fix it myself to no avail, I gave Callahan a call! I had never used them before, but Brian was very friendly and was at our house within the hour! Explained what needed to be done and fixed the problem! Actually works better than before!
