Until the Krueger Brothers came along, we can safely say that we would never have used any of our previous contractors to build or remodel a home again. Built by Krueger changed that paradigm and we would not hesitate to use them again. We were not the typical, excited couple wanting to build their dream home. We had lost our house in the Marshal Fire and the Krueger Team took us under their wing, were a delight to work with and did an outstanding job during our building process. We can't say enough about how wonderful it was to work with Brian Krueger. His kind, reassuring demeanor guided our PTSD emotions, talked us off various ledges and found so many simple solutions to help us build an incredibly beautiful home. I am a woman who enjoys construction and design. I am not a stranger to construction and remodels. I’ve done a few of them including remodeling my own kitchen a few years ago. When it came time for a large 3 building, from the ground up, residential project I found myself looking for a new builder. I was not happy with the company who worked on my initial home remodel and after interviewing multiple contractors I landed on Built by Krueger.

From the initial meetings with Matt and Brian to Sam with his estimates and attention to selections and detail to Nate on site, I am delighted to say I am thoroughly pleased. We needed assistance getting the final permits and documentation with Boulder County and these guys were phenominal, on the ball life savers. My stress level was immensely reduced due to their efforts.

Sam is light hearted and professional. He sincerely listens to what you want and works to ensure you also get what you need. He’s patient and works to be thorough with all the finish selections and quotes through the hand off to the onsite man when construction begins.

We are lucky to have Nate as our on site guy. He’s easy to talk to and treats you as an equal. He is Just like Sam in that he works to help you achieve your vision and are happy with the results. I love the opportunity to walk the project and check in. I’ve even looked for additional projects just to keep them around.

Nelson is amazing. While I am the designer on these projects Nelson has an added artistic eye. I would give him a general idea with drawings and Nelson would find ways to make it even more impressive. He’s unbelievable at matching stains with different woods and ensures things are not only built well but look beautiful as well. I’m very grateful for his knowledge and vision in every unique aspect I added.

Much of our construction has occured throughout Covid. The contractors and teams Krueger has working for them are all cautious and respectful of the issues this brings. I felt safe while working with them and am grateful they were able to continue the projects without much of an issue.

I Highly recommend this entire company. And that’s saying a lot. I've worked with several and wished I could find someone with follow through I could trust. This is a company I’ll work with anytime. I have been an equal partner throughout every project they’ve done.

Brian and Matt have developed a great company with knowledgeable employees and integrity. Their crew was top notch and very knowledgeable and were here everyday to start early and were very systematic with the scheduling of their contractors who were responsive to Krueger Const. We started our project in August and asked if it could be completed by Thanksgiving, their reply was probably not but we can make it by Christmas. I liked the honesty up front, they were not about getting the job but about being truthful and realistic. The final outcome of the remodel exceeded our expectations. My wife and I have been through a couple of home building experiences and this was the easiest group to work with, I would not look elsewhere for our next project, they are top notch.

Short version: We had a great experience with the Krueger team. They did a great job of staying in communication throughout the project and helped guide us through the whole process, answering our questions. We were very happy with the process and the results. More thorough review:
We looked at three contractors and got quotes before picking Built By Krueger. Their price point was in the middle of the three bids. Our first experience was with Matthew Krueger and Samuel. From our first walk through we were happy with how well they listened to our expectations and gave feedback to help us decide how best to finish our basement. We were very happy both with the initial design layout choices they gave us and the way they used our feedback to come up with a layout that made excellent use of the space and fit with the flow of the rest of our house. At every step of the process, from picking the layout to finishing details they checked on us and made sure we were happy with how things were going. They were very willing and able to accommodate reasonable changes as we went along.

Our project manager was Shella. She was a rock star at communicating with us and being the primary contact at all times for us. She took care of all of the subcontractors (meetings at our house, any issues that came up, etc). When we did have problems come up, they were taken care of well and quickly. We had a few problem areas (our first choice for flooring was not being stocked, our faucet design we picked was retired, a few other small issues) and in each case they kept us up to speed and let us know our best options.

Tammy helped us with all the interior design and did an amazing job of learning our taste and helping us find things we were happy with. My husband and I are not the fastest shoppers but when we went to pick out tile, flooring, etc, I don’t remember them offering us more than one or two pieces we weren’t happy with. We didn’t have to do a long slog through choices to find ones we liked: they had already narrowed it down to a few choices that fit really well with our tastes so it was just finding our favorite.

During the actual construction process, Nelson and his team were amazing. The carpenters did excellent work (they built all of our shelving, including a gorgeous custom shelf that matched beams in the ceiling that they also custom built for us). We were very happy with the quality of the work they did and their professionalism. It is always a challenge to have people coming into your home, but they did a great job of respecting our space and making it as painless as possible. Since Shella kept us up to date throughout, we were not surprised by subs showing up unexpectedly or other issues like this. The subcontractors they used were all top notch as well, professional and very high quality work.

We would definitely highly recommend Built By Krueger to anyone looking for a high quality, professional and trustworthy construction company.
