Brio is the best of the best when it comes to custom home building. If you want a home that is built the right way, with a contractor who is your partner and advocate in the process, look no further.

We worked with Brio to build our perfect home and moved in the summer of 2023. They were a dream to work with from start to finish.

The design and specification of the house was done by their in-house design and sales team. They were fantastic to work with. We brought them a floorplan that we had sketched up, and they somehow made that a reality. It was really nice to work with a team that listened to what we wanted and helped us figure out how to make it happen. They worked with us to find ways to fit everything we wanted into our budget, helping us know where we could save money without sacrificing quality, and where we should spend a bit more to get a better finish. We had a lot of very specific requirements, and they were able to help us achieve them all.

The entire construction process was great because we knew that we had a team of trusted partners advocating for us with the various sub-contractors, suppliers, and government bodies that we had to work with throughout the process. They helped us overcome some challenges with the initial permitting process with the expertise that they have from years of experience.

The quality of work was top-notch. They did most of the structural work themselves, using high-tech processes to frame out the wall panels in their warehouse before transporting them to the site to build the structure. The precision of their work was impressive. They connected us with great sub-contractors and helped us navigate the process of choosing all the fit and finishes that completed the house as we had imagined it at the start. They were flexible and helpful when things needed to be changed, or when something didn't quite work the way we were hoping.

One of our priorities was building a house with minimal environmental impact that blends in with the natural environment of our property. They worked with us to go above and beyond on insulation, passive heat gain, and optimal house orientation, while bringing the outdoors in through large windows and preservation of view lines throughout the house. They helped us incorporate a large section of south-facing roof for solar installation, and were happy to help us achieve a high-efficiency, all-electric house so we could achieve our goal of net-zero energy.

After living in our house for a year, we still find ourselves marvelling at how much we love our house. Brio blew us away with every step of the process of building our house. I can't imagine a better partner for creating the home of our dreams.
