This company DOES NOT PAY subcontractors on jobs in other states
Promises to pay stemmed from on-site personnel to many levels at corporate office
Bradford Building Company searched my little company for a project in ST. LOUIS, MISSOURI as COVID arrived, signed my contract, and jumped through their hoops of paperwork
They begged constantly for us at SEALCO ASPHALT COMPANY to begin because they said they had a deadline yet no down payments were made, only promises even saying overnight payments ? HAD people switching positions there too
The job herein was in extremely poor condition, falling apart, debris everywhere (chunks of pavement, broken glass, weeds, trash, cinders etc)
Everything appeared as legitimate so we proceeded in good faith
Note: job descriptions— only patch potholes ( there were 88 such) crack seal ( super wide and deep)(needed more than just emulsion seal) and seal lit with stripes
So much to clean up (otherwise asphalt and emulsions won’t adhere)
The preparations are the hardest part yet most important
So Basically— they never ever sent any monies , played us until ALL the prep, patching w/hot mix , crack cleaning and sealing/pave dust debris etc was completed AND THEN DISCARDED US, TOLD TO STOP W/O NOTICES OF ANY SORT, THREATENED TO HAUL EQUIPMENT AWAY ( which was leased)
AND NOT TO CONTACT
Then even after some negotiations with them and extended time frame (weather was big delays because they wanted work done in February/march)
Then they hired (or had on standby) to finish up— which actually took 45 days longer?
They DO NOT PAY ‼️
