James was awesome from the moment we met him to the successful completion of the job! He was highly recommended by a senior PG&E worker after a dangerous gas leak was found at my mothers home. Once PG&E completed their repair, it was discovered that her home needed all new gas pipes, due to rust, age, and safety. This was a HUGE job and last minute, right as the weekend was about to start. James jumped right into it, without hesitation. Every step of the way he nocked out the work with professionalism, and speed. His work was top notch, taking my moms 1959 farm home into 2024 with new gas and water lines and connections. This was a difficult job, but his knowledge and workmanship made it a success. We couldn't have asked for a better recommendation, and we will now be exclusively using Bowen Plumbing for our homes and rental properties from here on out! Thank you James! I can sleep well knowing my mom's home is safe!

Our house was built in 1954 and when we purchased it in 2017 we knew it had original galvanized water supply lines throughout. We knew we'd likely have to re-pipe it, we just weren't sure when.

Last month when we were unable to shower one morning, we realized we could no longer band-aid the situation and had to get it done. We began making phone calls to plumbers that morning and James was at our house looking everything over within two hours. We had the quote by the end of the day. We were heading out town for a camping trip that week and James was able to squeeze us in during that time. We were gone for three days and when we returned we had all new plumbing: new water heater, filtration system, piping, insta-hot dispenser, fixtures...you name.

We have cameras on our house and could see he was there working all day and late (after 8pm) every night to ensure that we had hot water when we got home. He went above and beyond and we really couldn't be happier with the entire experience. He was more than fair on pricing, was professional, responsive, on time, and truly has incredible workmanship.

There honestly is no reason to look elsewhere for plumbing work -- James is your guy. Do yourself a favor and make sure you give him a call!

Ive bought and sold many properties. And i rarely write reviews. I had to write a review on about James and his team. His company went above and beyond what normal plumbing companies do. I know because we’ve hired dozens.

We needed to identify potential problems with a sewer lateral and septic on a property in less than 24 hours. We were purchasing the home and needed a professional. Not only did he camera everything possible he came back from a vacation a second time (no charge)when we needed a second assessment.

Ive never experienced a more professional plumbing team. We will be using them for all our future plumbing.

Bowen Plumbing is awesome! James really went above and beyond. From the beginning, he recommended a perfect replacement system to migrate my 25 year old water heater to a tankless system. After discussing the ideal location for the tankless system, it was decided to reroute gas and water underneath the house. James’ idea to move the water heater outside meant I could use that garage space for an upright freezer I had really wanted (can you say cow?). Coincidentally, I had just had some pond and landscaping work done, not well I might add, which caused my backyard to flood, which seeped under the house. In order for James to move the plumbing under the house he literally had to shimmy through mud. When he popped up from under the house I was so embarrassed with what he went through. He was covered, his tools were all messed up too. Had I known the conditions down there I would have delayed the work until it dried out. But James never said anything about it until he was mainly done moving the pipes around.
I can’t say enough how positive and helpful he has been. Follow up has been great too. I honestly believe Bowen plumbing provided absolutely the best experience possible. Best of all, I don’t think anyone else could match his price. James, you are a friend for life. Btw, I can’t recall ever writing such a lengthy review, but I felt it necessary to tell everyone about my Bowen Plumbing experience.

Highly recommend! Called due to a water leak under sinks in bathroom that the shut off valves went bad they were so old. Family tried to fix but we couldn't get it fixed so we called James. He switched his schedule and made time to come help. So professional and so glad he was there because the city also had a leak in their box too and almost tried to blame it on me but because Bowen plumbing was there they fixed everything. Again he did a great job and was so nice!! We just had an earthquake yesterday so check your pipes and call Bowen if you need repairs. He even showed me where my main shut off was. The quality of work and price was outstanding!
