Me and my friend had a dinner we had reservations but still we wait more or less 30 minutes, service was good. We are so excited to order food it’s Bouchon our expectation was so highly I order steak and frites, so disappointed on my first bite steak was unseasoned, so bland, super dry. fries doesn’t taste truffle at all, onion soup need more favor need some seasoning, bread was so dry the only taste good is the puff pastry escargot. Bottom line we don’t enjoy the food. Won’t come back again in this place. Setting was super tight. Can barely move and I’m petite. So crowded in tiny space. Think carefully when you’re trying to dine in this place. Management think about the comfort of your customers and let them try the food first before sending them out.

We stopped by on a Friday. We didn’t make reservations but we got there at around 11:45 AM and luckily was able to grab the last unreserved table for 2 for the outside seating.

Let me just say that everything was so great. The salad was citrusy and refreshing; my friend’s shepherd pie was delicious; I had the mussels with white wine sauce, it’s so delicious. The server also recommended a pairing of Sauvignon Blanc for my friend to go with his entree and a French Chardonnay to go with mine. I’ve never had French and it’s crisp and delicious. Highly recommend it to anyone.

I had my lunch here and was seated at the bar because we didn't have a reservation. The food was extremely delicious. The mussels were fresh and the beef tartar was well seasoned. What amazed me was the salmon. It was fried crisply on the outside but extremely tender inside. This might be one of the best salmon dishes I have ever had in my life. I also ordered a glass of Sancerre to pair with. Sauv blanc from Sancerre never disappoints me.

Oh wow, they definitely know how to treat birthday celebrants! Celebrated a birthday here and we were given complimentary champagne as soon as we sat down. We then ordered escargots and an onion soup to start, both were of course excellent. For our entrees, we got the moules au safran and the special, gnudi with truffles, which blew my mind away. It was so decadent and delicious, see the video I posted! We didn't have room for dessert anymore unfortunately but here's where we got pleasantly surprised since we thought the champagne was the birthday treat already and tbh, it was more than enough because some places we go to, they just stick a candle on whatever dessert you ordered lol. So anyway, the bill came with a pack of bouchon brownies to-go with a candle, definitely over and beyond. So happy we celebrated here (and revisited after more than a decade!), highly recommend!

It is a small place, but the food is delicious. Recommend trying Napa restaurant month; it was 65 for three courses. But the truffle fries were extra but worth it and a must try.

Bouchon Bistro has been on our list for years and finally got there. So glad we did for lunch! Although a bit crowded, it was comfortable but the table a bit too small for all our orders (this is typical for French bistros). Service was impeccable and attentive.
Food was the real star here. Started with gazpacho which was like drinking spoonfuls of summer. Tomato salad with green beans was surprisingly delicious. We also got the chicken liver that came with charred toast points, so good! Muscles with fries were as good as I've ever had and I was full by the end of this light meal.
You want to eat here!

A Must-Visit French Culinary Experience in Yountville✨️

We stopped by for lunch on a Saturday afternoon without reservations and were pleasantly surprised to snag a table on the patio. Don’t let the long line for the bakery deter you. It doesn’t reflect the wait times for the restaurant.

Once seated, we were welcomed with complimentary bread and butter, which could have easily been a satisfying meal after a morning of wine tasting. Then came the highlight of our day, the classic soupe à l'oignon (French Onion Soup). That broth! Rich, flavorful, and perfectly executed, it left a lasting impression and is something I will continue to crave daily.

For our entrées, we chose the Croque Madame and the Steak Frites. Both dishes were beautifully prepared and utterly indulgent. When it comes to French cuisine, there’s no such thing as too much butter, and the herb butter melted into the steak, elevating the flavors beautifully. Unfortunately, we had no room left for dessert, but that just gives us a reason to return on our next visit.

The service was impeccable, with staff who were professional, attentive, and effortlessly charming, enhancing the overall dining experience.

This classic French restaurant is a true culinary gem and an essential stop when exploring Yountville and the Napa bakery region.

Late Dec2024 French bistro of famed chef Thomas Keller at small town Yountville is part of three food outlets. The Bistro is nearby the bakery.

Traditional French bistro cuisine is translated masterfully in an elegant and rustic setting.

The food is classic with a high degree of attention to the quality of its ingredients. The plating is superbly laid out in balanced amounts.

Service is generally warm and helpful.

The layout is tight and busy giving one a perfect impression of a packed Parisienme bistro

Ideal for small groups.
