Absolutely do not count on Rick & his Blackhawk crew to deliver what he contractually promised. I continue to have gutter leaks and gutters & downspouts that were not not engineered to handle the flow of rain water from my roof resulting in water flowing down the side of the my house and subsequently leaving water in my basement in this area. In order to rectify my problem, Rick required an additional payment of $6,750 to install a single additional downspout. Poor installation... poor problem resolution... poor business.

We saw an ad in the local paper for Mr. Fix-it in Mauston, WI actually now Blackhawk Contractors and took a chance on using them! Needed new countertops, sink/faucet and some electrical switches moved & a pot rack put up! After working out the details with Rick (the owner) it was done in a timely manner and the workers were very conscientious!!

We had the roof replaced. A mess was left around the house after, nails and pieces of old shingles.
We also had siding and windows replaced. While replacing the siding, the conduit to the electric meter was broken. The windows do not open except for a couple. They are double hung. None of the window will open from the top. We have called numerous times about this problem with no response or solution to the problem. It is hard to even get a callback.
Rick also suggested we replace two broken panels in octagon windows. We waited several months to get the windows and they don't work, and we still have not received the octagon windows. I even asked if he would bring the glass by and I would put them in. Today he text me, "We don't have a contact for the octagon windows". I do believe there are glass and window places in the area. And why would he suggest it last fall if he had no window contacts?
Very unhappy. Yet he raced the check to the bank before the ink was dry.

My family hired this company to redo our deck. After completion, we noticed the stairs were crooked, spindles weren't evenly spaced and the guardrails are wobbly. Repeated attempts to reach the contractor were made, but never got a response. My parents are nice, forgiving, and were willing to pay for this company to correct their mistakes. This company only cares about getting the job done quickly with no regard for quality or their customers.

Needed a roof for my summer home. Their price may have seemed high but they did a great job. We talked about the pros and cons of other work on the roof and they came up with good suggestions and money saving ideas. I'm very pleased with their work. Easy to get a hold of and negotiate with. They didn't accept my credit card so I paid with cash. I would use them again and would recommend them as well.

Needed a new roof late in the season, ASAP. I phoned the owner who stopped by the next to submit a quote. Within a week the crew showed up bright and early on a Wednesday and the job was complete by Friday evening. The roofing crew was very knowledgeable and did an excellent job. Very pleased with everyone's effort.

Does not communicate. Spent 35000 to have garage built, some concrete work done and central air. Left my yard in a wreck. Will cost money to fix. Garage door wouldn’t open with in a week. Not sure if broken part was replaced with used. Chipped my new concrete in two places. First hot day central air isn’t working. They install central air but the individual isn’t a havac guy. Not sure how he keeps a 4 point rating on home advisor. Never again. My checks were cashed very quickly. BEWARE. Never again. I will be contacting the bbb and consumer protection.

Rick and his staff have replaced the Roof on my home, garage, barn and Carriage house. I was surprised that he even has staff to install a new Dishwasher in an old 100+ year old Victorian home flawlessly.
So I guess no job too small. Great work.
