Big Kahuna Construction is a great company to work for. They've allowed us to work with them on a couple projects and the process has been very smooth. Julie is very professional in the front office and I would recommend this company for any remodel work.

Julie was our designer and our project manager. Once she understood our interior theme, she would call us to see when we’re coming out and have places to go or samples to see. She is honest and her cabinet and tile teams were great!

Normally, positive reviews are our "go-to" However we had a very difficult whole-home-remodel with Big Kahuna.

Along with 3 other couples we know of (that were doing larger remodeling projects with BK during this timeframe) we had extensive challenges -- weeks went by between visits from "their crews"--crews that primarily showed up after 4pm (doing their second shift for the day) and a remodel that was supposed to take 3 months took 18.

They were unorganized with poor communication, extensive company-caused delays and back-tracking (mostly at our expense). We finally moved back into our home--despite their incompleteness--or we would likely still be waiting.

In the end we settled on a reduction in their compensation rather than completion of the job they had promised--though it took a conversation with the contractors board to make that happen.

If you want a job done by a contractor that actually has their own teams, and completes work in a workman-like manner on a reasonable schedule (and calls you when they have questions)--Big Kahuna would be a company we would recommend you skip over.

Other contractors working during this same time have clients (whom we know) that are very happy with their outcomes --thus, our experience was not COVID generated.

Though we wish we could say something positive, we feel it is necessary to warn others of the poor services received.
