I’ve been so impressed with Jake, and look forward to more home projects in the near future! It has been such a relief to have the excellent communication and quality control his locally owned company provided throughout some major exterior improvements and kitchen updating, including an upcoming roof replacement. The work was meticulous, makes it feel like a brand new house!

I hired Jake at Bighorn design build to finish my basement and was beyond happy with how everything worked out. Jake went above and beyond to help me out.
The first thing I noticed about Jake was the fact that he was always on time and would let you know if he was going to be late. This was really important to me because my cabin is hard to get to in the saint Mary's Glacier neighborhood. He'd was also always reachable, both of those things alone are hard to find in Colorado. It got better than that though, he also had good craftsmanship and knows how to work with the county inspectors. My cabin had no problem passing inspection and the job was finished on time and even with some surprises was still close to the original estimate.
Jake has all the connections, you need to finish the job and when we ran into problems Jake was able to solve them immediately and at low cost.
The bottom like is, it's really hard to find good contractors in Colorado. Jake is built different than the rest. He doesn't waste your time, is extremely reasonably priced, has a bunch of different connections in the construction industry, does amazing work and knows how to talk to the village inspector. This is the guy you want on your side!
I definitely recommend Bighorn construction for your next project.

Jake helped us modernize our fireplace and gave us great feedback about options and possibilities of things to around our home. The accent of the live edge beetle kill mantle was a great touch and it turned out great. Jake is very knowledgeable and skilled at his craft. We will be using Big Horn Design for future projects for sure! Beyond the work he does most importantly he communicates. We knew when Jake was going to be here to work on our project and we could count on his excellent work to get done professionally!

Jake at Big Horn Design is an absolute champion, from helping me insulate our cabin to electrical work he has been incredibly helpful in all aspects of our home repair to home improvement. We worked with Jake on several projects (fireplace tile work, rebuilt stairs and railing, fixed drywall and removed popcorn ceiling) and the quality and speed at which he was able to complete the work was impressive. He’s especially good at tile work, but he is able to tackle any number of jobs you might have. Highly recommended!

We subcontract to Jake often and he is a breath of fresh air with how organized and detail oriented he is. He is always on top of the schedule and letting us know far in advance when he will need us. Plus he is always forthcoming and prepared with info on what we are doing! As a subcontractor I can attest that Jake is one of the rare ones!!!
