I feel lucky and fortunate to have worked with Bela Development on a major renovation project! It was an entire renovation on the house that I grew up in, and there were a lot of details that I wanted to keep, while still modernizing the entire home, inside and out. Daniel and Michael guided me through the entire process answering all of my many questions and collaborating when we needed to get through a particularly hard problem that would arise. And when taking down all of the walls, as well as some structural walls and redoing all plumbing and electrical we ran into many surprises. They were fair and explained pricing when we had to negotiate costs so there were no misunderstandings between us. I had a great time as well, learning about how houses are constructed. Daniel and Michael’s patience while paying attention to the smallest details was appreciated. Now the home I grew up in as many of the same details but is so much more airy, lighter and modern. We all most likely will remain friends. I highly recommend using Bela Development. They are professional and yet still remains personal. They went above and beyond what any other contractor would do, and as a single woman that I highly valued!

When we decided to remodel and relocate our master bathroom and closet, we started looking for contractors to handle the build process from start to finish. After consulting with four different companies, we ultimately decided on Bela based on their customer testimonials, beautiful pictures of completed projects, and most importantly the strong impression we got from Ben, the owner.

Once we agreed to move forward with Bela, a detailed scope of work was drawn up detailing all of the different phases of the project like architectural plans and permitting, demolition, framing, electrical/plumbing, etc. After coming to an agreement on scope, price, and timeline, we were introduced to Michael our project manager to begin the process.

Michael helped us every step of the way, making sure all key subcontractors were scheduled exactly when they needed to be. He and the Bela team also provided us with a detailed sheet of rough and finishing items that we would need to decide on and acquire for the project. This made keeping track items needing to be purchased, project style, and budget really easy and allowed us to always stay two steps ahead of the work. We didn't elect for a designer/decorator for this project, however Bela absolutely has you covered if that's something you'd like for your project.

Once our permits and plans were approved and demolition began, we really saw the payoff of going with Bela. Every single one of the tradesmen on their team, from plumbers to framers to electricians to tile experts to painters were some of the most polite, punctual, high quality, and above all clean that I have ever had the pleasure of working with. The site foreman, Tal, worked hand in hand with Michael and ensured that no detail was left out and that every stage was prepped and completed in the best possible order.

Our project was completed within our agreed-upon timeframe, had only slight scope of work adjustments due to unforeseen complications with our mid-century home's plumbing, and turned out even better than we could have imagined.

Choosing Bela was one of the best decisions we've ever made for our home, and we can't recommend them enough. If you're looking for an expert contractor that is clean, detail-oriented, reliable, and fairly priced, look no further than Bela!

I was 100% satisfied with the renovation project that Bela Development did on my home. After a broken water pipe damaged our floors, walls and bathroom tiling, I hired Bela because Ben was on top of the details, communicated well, asked for my ideas and addressed my concerns patiently and clearly. His main worker, Cesar was excellent and made sure I was included i decisions. He was great w the important details.

We had a great experience working with Ben and team for our condo bathroom renovations last year. The team was very responsive and communicative throughout the process. We communicated weekly via text and email and they returned calls quickly. The crew is very talented and reliable, especially their tile guy. They was very receptive to our feedback throughout the process. I definitely feel like they had our best interest at heart and despite some hiccups in the process (don’t buy Ikea cabinets - they are a plumbing code nightmare), they finished in a timely manner and we LOVE the end results. They stayed dedicated to the job until the very end, returning for minor finishing touches even months after completion of the job. The code requirements and permit process for City of Santa Monica condos were a bit of a headache. The process was a learning experience for Bela and for us and did cause a few weeks delay in the beginning but we were able to work through it together. Once the work was started the team was efficient and clean. We would definitely use them again and have recommended their services to our friends. I highly recommend Bela to anyone considering a renovation.

My kitchen was original to my home and 60 years old.
The design was exactly what I wanted and my house is completely transformed!
I started my construction project during Covid and the crew was respectful of all the health precautions around each other and my family.
Any delays on the project had nothing to do with the company as they were efficient and on schedule.
The city lost our plans and permitting took forever but Bela continued to follow up until it was handled properly.
They worked efficiently and got the job done despite product delivery delays and city delays.
I can't speak highly enough about the amazing design recommendations that truly impacted the final kitchen product.  Trustworthy and came out at the end to touch up after everything was done.  It was a truly great experience and never did I ever feel like I was taken advantage of by dishonesty.  True integrity and a great end result. We hired Bela Development to redo our front yard. Yossi and his crew did an exceptional job! He was responsive, fast and made sure on every step of the way that we will be involved and get to choose the material we wanted. This was a fun quick bathroom remodel project thanks to Eric and the Bela Development team. We were looking for a reliable company who can remodel our simple bathroom and take care of all the permits and city paper work. Bela and Eric were able to execute everything without any issues and very quickly considering the long waiting periods for inspections due to Covid. Very happy with the workmanship and communication the team brought and looking forward to use Bela Development again when we remodel our kitchen!
