We had a fantastic experience with Bay Area Underpinning, lifting our foundation four and a half inches of our old 1958 Napa house! After careful review of several contractors, we chose Bay Area Underpinning and so glad we did! The entire process was smooth from the sales engineer estimate to the completion of the job, the communication was outstanding all along from day to day and ourblift was a big job with a full week of labor intensive work. I especially want to thank Foreman Cody Summers, Co-Foreman Ken Hamlin, and Installer Nikolas Klein for their outstanding work and customer service! They are the best and ensured that I was happy with the progress and completely satisfied. I also want to thank Superintendent Kevin Gaeden for his outstanding communication! My wife and I are completely satisfied and happy with the outcome! It was a great choice with great value after the job was complete! We would hire Bay Area Underpinning all over again! I will sleep much better tonight. I noticed a crack in my foundation and called Bay Area Underpinning. Hunter came out and walked the entire property and went underneath my house. He identified one other issue that I knew about besides the crack and told me they could fix that too. I had no idea you can call structural engineers for chimneys. His quote was fair to me and you can't beat the warranty and financing.

Today Jesus Villagomes and Erick Baez came out and fixed the crack, they also looked around underneath and reassured me AGAIN that my house was in good shape. Because I caught it early they were able to fill the crack and then add a carbon fiber exposy seal. They also sealed the crack from the outside, even though they had already filled it in under the house. They were professional, answered all my questions, no matter how many and honestly were just pleasant to work with. They also explained my maintenance plan so I knew what to expect. I would absolutely recommend this entire team, to stay professionally kind in high heat is amazing.

The Chimney job is pending and again, I'm ahead of the curve and not waiting for it to get worse.

Had Bay Area Underpinning come out for a free estimate to check my foundation. They verified the appt 2 days before along with day of, I got a link as to where the technician was and he was on time. Ronald was very professional and informative. He was able to answer all my questions in a way I could understand and I got a copy of all the findings. We just bought a house, and literally every single metal pier in the crawlspace was rusted out. Bay Are Underpinning came in and did an awesome job. Their inspector Aaron was super thorough in assessing the damage and explained everything in detail. Then, the repair crew of Eric, Jesus, and Andrew came in and knocked out the entire job in a day -- a huge relief considering we had a ton of other work we need to get done before moving in.

The work is not cheap, but they offer financing options and stand by their work, so I feel very good about the entire job.

After careful inspection, their agent, Richard, told me the truth, which was that my crawlspace was fine, that I had no problem with moisture or settling. And then he took the time to show me why. He could have tried to sell me on doing a lot of work, but he didn't. This kind of honesty is impressive! Call Bay Area Underpinning to inspect your crawlspace. You can trust them. If they say it needs work, hire them to do it. I am almost sorry I couldn't!

We’ve used Bay Area Underpinning for both parts of a two part repair project on our home in the Lamorinda area. They use the most modern techniques and do incredible work. Obviously we were not exited to spend the money on the foundation repairs but it was an absolute necessity to preserve the value of the home and reverse damage already done by the expansive soil in this area. Many of the piers went 40-50 feet deep before hitting bedrock. They were able to lift the stone fireplace with the foundation. Lance explained the process as he worked and kept us up to date on the details of lifting and leveling our home. There will always be cracks in sheet rock and cosmetic damage no matter how careful you are, but these guys were really careful in mitigating the damage and keeping it to a bare minimum. Rick, Lance, Mike and Ulises are rock solid! I hope our next home doesn’t have soil/settling problems, but if it does we are using Bay Area Underpinning.

We had Bay Area Underpinning install 18 piles into the ground to repair our drooping foundation … the 4 man crew worked everyday during this crazy stormy weather, mud and all, and
still got the job done in the 2 weeks as promised. The crew was very respectful, friendly and answered all our questions during the whole process. Now we wait for the cement crew to come in and complete the job.
Thank you all for all the hard work and fixing our house…now the fun part begins as we can now do some remodeling inside and out of our house knowing the foundation is stable and safe.

Bay Area Underpinning recently lifted my home's foundation. They had come highly recommended by a trusted family contractor; and they did not let us down. From the very start their staff was professional helpful and responsive. They sent out an estimator (Daniel) to my home who was very informative and helped me prepare a plan to correct my home's sinking foundation. The office staff (both Hanna and Shannon) were also very helpful, and provided me with a comprehensive repair contract and helped scheduled the work to meet our needs. A pre-job prep visit was also made by Jim, to ensure we were well aware of the needs and requirements of the job. The crews showed up on time and were very helpful, informative and professional. Despite the challenges of heavy rain, they worked through and ensured the job was completed without delay; in fact, it was completed ahead of schedule, and to the exact specifications they had promised. Lance, our job foreman kept me apprised of all aspects of the job and was even able to complete the work without some of the anticipated demolition; which saved costs.
Lances' experience and his hardworking crew, made the entire experience a pleasure. The concrete team followed up within two days and completed their work in one day. The quality of everyones work was fantastic.
Every crew ensured the work area was isolated and that they had as little impact to our daily routine as possible.
