The people who built our house originally had plans for a screened porch but, somewhere along the way, they apparently changed their minds and ended up with a strange little open space instead. After 10 years of using it as a catch-all office space, my husband works from home more frequently so we decided to have it finished into a dedicated office and we are absolutely thrilled with how it turned out! We can not say enough about how fantastic Paul at Bashaw Valley Remodeling & Handyman was and how amazing of a job he did, especially with such a challenging space and weird set up! Not only was his craftsmanship excellent, but he was also very professional, responsive, timely, courteous, and respectful of our space throughout the entire project! Paul with Bashaw Valley Remodeling was very meticulous and detail oriented. He often sent update photos to keep us informed of progress. Kelsey suggested fixtures, doors, trim, colors, etc. to make the design modern looking and cohesive. Since we were finishing an entire basement, we were a bit worried about it being dark and cave-like, but the finished product ended up very bright and the bathroom remodels were lovely. We are very excited about the combined bathtub/shower surround with glass door that is such a nice, deep soaker in our fully updated basement bathroom. The newly hand-tiled shower in our master bathroom, with built in shelves, is just what we were looking for to upgrade the old plastic insert. Issues always come up in large construction/remodeling projects, but any issues were addressed promptly, and Paul made them right. We will use Bashaw Valley Remodeling again. Excellent contractor. They removed an old existing deck and built a new composite deck with metal railings. The deck is beautiful and the work exceeded my expectations. Paul Olesen was the just type of contractor I had been searching for. He is very intelligent, honest, and organized. He has high standards and a great work ethic. All work was done in a very timely manner. I could not believe the seamlessness of the sheetrock work he did. I appreciated his communication skills and his process for handling change orders. He was also able to make valuable suggestions. Paul was always pleasant and respectful. He left the work site clean each day so any mess was kept to a minimum. I could not have asked for a better contractor or outcome and am delighted with the work on my newly finished basement. I highly recommend Paul Olesen for any home remodeling you need.
