I called on the phone today because I needed my rear brakes and rotors replaced as well as my fronts and I was blessed to get Paula W. The store manager to answer the call. I was looking for pricing and then asked about if I may have a warranty. She looked me up and seen that I had been paying for parts every six months without getting my warranty discount. Today she was able to help Inform me about my warranty and how it works. She was able to warranty with my rotors for front and rear of my car as well as my brake pads. She was truly a blessing and had a great sense of humor. If you ever on ross ave and need something for your car stop at auto zone and ask for the manager Paula W. She is truly a life save and a blessing 🙌 Thanks again Paula. Stay exactly the way you are

I told the African American female(the manager), about age 40+, wearing reading glasses, behind the counter that my vehicle needed a diagnostic test. She asked if any lights were coming on. I told her, yes when the vehicle is started in the early morning the gage light comes on, but they turn off once the vehicle is warmed up. That’s why the vehicle needs a diagnostic.

She said, if no lights are on Autozone isn’t allowed to do a diagnostic. I repeated the situation again and told her the lights probably won’t come on now because I’d driven the vehicle to AutoZone and I just want to see if any codes pop up.

She asked another employee to look at my vehicle. The employee noticed no lights were on and said they aren’t allowed to do a diagnostic if no lights on the dashboard come on.

Mind you there were not other customers at the counter. The experience was a frustrating one. I went to an O’Reilly Parts store. They did not mind running a diagnostic test on my vehicle.

Dear AutoZone Customer Service,

I am writing to express my disappointment and frustration with the service I received from the manager at the Ross Avenue, Dallas, Texas location. I called the store twice to inquire about tax exemptions for 501(c)(3) organizations. Both calls ended with the manager, who has pink hair, disconnecting the line after becoming confrontational.

When I visited the store, the manager continued to display unprofessional behavior, making snide remarks about my mother and refusing to provide her name. She also locked the door, turning away potential customers and harming business.

The correct response to my inquiry would have been, "I'm sorry, but we don't honor 501(c)(3) exemptions." Instead, her attitude and actions escalated the situation.

I had intended to make a significant purchase due to the store's availability, but the manager's behavior deterred me. I seek a response and apology regarding this incident, which severely reflects on the AutoZone brand.

Based on my recent interaction, I believe this individual may not be well-suited for a customer-facing role. Her behavior and communication style suggest she may excel in a different position or environment, potentially with less customer interaction.

I went to diagnose a check engine light and found the issue. They researched and ordered me a part, told me they would call when it arrived (never called, I had to call them), and when I got the part it was the incorrect part. I asked to borrow some tools to change the part (before I knew it was wrong) and the lady pointed me to a bucket of random sockets with no wrench so I went home to make the fix. All in all, not very helpful.

Edited to two stars from one: further researching the part showed that the part is listed as compatible with my car on AutoZone website, but that is misleading and I can't hold the specific store accountable for that.

Manny was amazing, helpful when I needed him today. Stranded without any help he went out his way to help. He's the Michael Jordan of the location. That means he's the best.
