If I could give zero star review I would for the golf course. Service was terrible. We were not allowed to play the last 9 holes when we paid for 18 holes. The people that were there working were beyond arrogant. We were told we should have been able to hit 9 holes in 2 hrs with 5 people. Then when asked if we could have a refund or a rain check on the last 9 holes we were told we were lucky they let us finish 9 holes. Our party of 5 will never be returning here! The customer service was the worst I've ever seen. NEVER AGAIN!!!

The food is delicious and the staff is wonderful! Both the restaurant and the pub are great for different reasons. The restaurant has a beautiful view of the lake. The pub has a cool vibe with darts, shuffleboard, and a pool table. Try the Alpine Fries....wow!

Casual resort/motel on a beautiful big lake. We stayed one night and played golf. The food at the restaurant was very good. Nothing fancy but hits the spot. Rooms are very plain but it's a place to sleep. Didn't hear any neighbors. Golf was a lot of fun. The course isn't too hard but has some challenges and a mix of dog legs and elevation changes. A few holes on the lake which are nice. Hole 10 is awesome. The conditions are fine, not bad, not great, but the price is right for what you get. Don't think this will be a destination for me again but it was a fun time and recommend if you're in the area.

I am a survivor of the 9/11 attack on the Pentagon and I have a service dog. I was told I would have to stay in a β€œdog room” because the next person renting the room may be allergic to dogs! My room was absolutely filthy. It had urine/feces on the floor. The bedspread and blanket both smelled of urine and were in very poor condition! I complained and was told that is West Virginia code! The hotel is very old, but the rest of the property is very nice! We were running from the hurricane in Florida and we’re already traumatized!

The hotel is in a nice mountain lake location. We enjoyed the lake beach and hiking trails onsite. The room/building is older. The carpeting needs to be deep cleaned or replaced. Otherwise, the bedding and room were clean. The new decks off of the rooms were very nice. The front desk staff got their job done, but we did not receive a greeting or thank you during check-in or check-out.

Spent three nights in the Motel at Alpine Lake Resort. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Perfect size for our family to stay. Loved having the fridge and microwave in the room. And access to a deck off the room (where I watched golfers while working). The entire staff was AMAZING and so very kind. So many amenities - complimentary mini-golf (next to the Motel), indoor swimming pool, fitness center. Game room has a good number of games (for small fee). We also played some pickleball on the courts!|My husband and son played golf two days, and really enjoyed the course! Great pricing for a round, and even offered twilight pricing after 3pm.|Food at the Lodge was good -- and the service was great! The view of the golf course and the lake were amazing.|Didn't get a chance to go out on the lake, but there is access to fishing and go out on a kayak.|Overall, an amazing vacation to kick off our summer. We will be back!

Stayed in an Air BnB and it was phenomenal. Views were amazing. Local brewery Screech Owl was to die for.
