This review has nothing to do with the quality of gravel or service this company provides. We had an emergency situation when our Mastiff set off the fire extinguisher inside the cab of our truck. We pulled over, off of Route 14, into the gravel lot of Alan Stone Company to clean the powder from our vehicle and make sure our dog was okay.

As I walked our dog, I noticed a man leaving the main building of Alan Stone and climb into his large grey Dodge Ram truck. He came across the railroad tracks and stopped at our truck to talk to my wife as she was wiping down the inside of our truck.
He said “this is Private property and you cannot park here.” She said, “I understand, I have an emergency (described the situation) and will be out of here in a few minutes. At this time we had been there 3-4 minutes.
He reiterated “well, we have trucks come in and out of here and they need space and you need to leave.” So she stated again, we are leaving in a couple minutes.
He never asked if we needed help, only concerned with hypothetical scenarios that weren’t going to happen. There was plenty of room for two semis to park if they pulled up immediately. Our vehicle was running with all doors open to gas off the powder-there was no indication we were staying or parking.
This man proceeded to hide behind his tinted windows and guard his parking lot like we were doing something to damage his day.
If this were my employee I would teach him kindness, consideration of others experiences, and the ability to lend a hand when needed. We for sure do not need more people like him on any given day.
