We absolutely love our new Alair home! Nicole, Andy, and team made building a new home a great experience. The design process and Alair's intuitive questions helped us craft the perfect home, expertly tailored to our wants and needs. Some of the (many) things that we appreciated about the process was the level of communication and project planning; we always knew where things were at, what was next, and when we had to make our next design selections/decisions. Amazing in all areas! Alair Homes helped us build a new construction home that was perfect for our family while we lived out of state. We met once in person and everything else was done remotely. Through the whole process we appreciated their wonderful and thorough communication. We trusted their process and the quality of the work, and were blown away by the results. We are SO GLAD we found Andy and Nicole. They are the perfect pair: Andy the ultimate tradesman - just as adept at dealing with the hammer as he is with project timelines and an architect's pencil. Nicole is his Yang - whose eye for design provides the style to make the space truly yours.
After working with them for our 1st new home construction, I give them the highest rating for consistently exceeding our expectations of a homebuilder. Here's a couple examples:
1. First off, they are two excellent people with strong ethics. They listen. They honor their word. They take pride in their work. They are genuinely nice and pleasant to work with.
2. With a vision, but no lot, Andy listened to what we wanted our house to be and took it upon himself to find us a lot that was capable of achieving our very specific criteria. That included driving >40 minutes around the area to personally look at land to see if he could make it work.
3. Andy has the expertise to recommend where to invest, but just as importantly where not to. Specifically, when I pressed him on the need for a Kohler toilet, he mentioned that other lower grade models had caused issues in the past so this was the lowest grade he'd recommend. However, when it came to faucets that we didn't need to upgrade for the Kohler name because there were other models that could offer the same performance at a fraction of the cost. That was a big Build Trust moment with me that day because he clearly operates with the sole objective of doing what's best for the client in both the short and long term.
4. Nicole was present in each design phase throughout the entire house. There at every single vendor meeting. Every single decision. Never imposing her opinion, but always willing to offer one if needed. She could be as hands off or as hands on as we needed, and when asked her to be hands on, she never hesitated or judged no matter how indecisive or vague we were!! We so appreciated her vision and collaboration.
I'm sure there are a lot of builders who can build you a house, but these two build homes, and it shows. Sadly, we will never build with them again...but only because we never want to leave!
I would encourage anyone to contact Alair in a heartbeat. After just one meeting with Andy and Nicole you'll see why.

After interviewing several builders, we decided to work with Andy & Nicole at Alair Green Bay. To say we were impressed with our experience is an understatement! Our project manager Wendy was on top of every detail and was with us every step of the journey. From planning, to design, to build, the Alair Team was responsive and engaged. Even after our project was completed, Alair continued to support us with the various questions we had that come with a new home. After working with them for over 2 years, we feel like the Alair Team is part of our extended family and we look forward to working with them again in the future!

My wife and I decided to work with Andy and his team at Alair to build our modern lake house on Lake Michigan. I am an architect and a builder in Minneapolis so I was concerned about whether the proposed design would be executed to my standards in a more remote area in Door County. From the moment we discussed the design and the details Andy and his team could not have been more enthusiastic and confident. Our project came in on time and on budget. We have a number of materials (stone, timber, steel) and lots of glass that were executed flawlessly. The subcontractors were skilled craftspeople and were genuinely nice. We have a mantra at our company “Start with Yes.” Alair exemplified this mantra. The service did not stop after we moved in. They have helped with a number of items including winterizing our property since we live in MN most of the year. Alair exceeded our expectations and I would highly recommend them.
