AFT Construction just finished building our custom home in N. Scottsdale and we couldn't be happier. Brad and his team crushed it on all levels. Our project manager Paul Lungren worked with us on a daily basis to ensure we got what we wanted. We moved in 3 weeks ago. My wife and I were discussing if there were any stress points in the process, other than the increases to some of the costs which is a sign of the times not a reflection on AFT, we had no stress. This is the 4th custom home we have built so we understood what was involved. This is by far the most detailed home so there were plenty of decisions to be made. We even went to Oregon for the summer so not having Leslie see the home for 3 months might have been an issue but it wasn't. When she returned in Sept she was thrilled with the progress. A Finer Touch Construction LLC (“AFT”) is a dream to work with. Integrity, vision, communication, honesty and respect are the only words I would use to describe AFT. I approached Brad when my husband and I purchased a mid-century modern townhome in Phoenix. Since it was a small space, I wanted to maximize the use of the space while remaining true to the architectural vision posed by Al Beadle. In addition, I wanted to blend my love of industrial modern with mid-century style while finding a way to include modern conveniences. I immediately knew after my first meeting with Brad that he understood my vision and that he was much more than a general contractor. He very quickly came up with plans to match my design and introduced me to all the suppliers that we would need to realize the final vision. AFT was on top of the ordering process and managed all the materials from the start. I was also very impressed with the team of project managers assigned to my project. Unlike many general contractors, Brad and his team initiated a high and consistent level of communication with me as both client and designer. His entire staff was responsive to any request and I felt like I could contact them with any detail, big or small. Attention to detail is important to me and AFT didn’t disappoint. From the plate and drain covers to the high gloss cabinetry and appliances, the team was there to manage each aspect of this project. I can be a demanding client but I always felt that AFT was on my side. There was several times during the renovation that I was out of town and I didn’t worry that work would continue in my absence. I felt completely confident in the team and knew that I could trust them to watch over the details. Moreover, AFT only uses the best sub-contractors and I was pleased with each of my interactions with the various plumbers, painters, cabinetry and metal designers that I met on this project. Even down to the final walk-through and punch list, AFT stayed with me and responded quickly. Additionally, the billing process was simple and painless. Although the major phase of my renovation is complete, I plan to use them for some small projects. If you are looking for high design and attention to detail, I would not hesitate to recommend A Finer Touch.

From the beginning, A Finer Touch Construction committed that we would know line item by line item exactly what is involved in the process so that there are no surprises. It is something that we have found to be very rare. There is nothing that came up such as, “We didn’t foresee this and we have to deal with this now”. There was a significant amount of planning done before hand by AFT. And in the end instead of finishing on time, we finished almost a month earlier than planned, which was a great surprise. The reasons to hire AFT is the details. The quality, the craftsmanship, and the process. If you’re looking for a project to go smoothly and get the highest possible quality build, that would be our reason for hiring them. They are not a lot of contractors out there like AFT. All we had to do was sit back and watch this beautiful home just happen without any stress.
