I've lived here for almost three years, and I really want to say great things about the place. The building is beautiful, and it's located in a great part of town that's becoming more vibrant and more walkable every day.

However, this is just simply not a great place to live, especially if you are a renter. My private landlord has been great, but several members of the community, as well as the HOA make this a very unpleasant place to live. People will smoke at the entrances of the building, meaning you will frequently have to walk through smoke to walk in or out of the building. As another reviewer has said, there are not very nice neighbors, including a group who are trying to evict renters from the building, who make the environment very hostile. There are several building issues, including issues with the roof and a plumbing problem in the basement that the building management are slow to take action on. They also frequently hold "townhall" meetings (separate from their HOA meetings) that are only open to owners, so residents who rent have no input on anything that affects their home.
