I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Sammy. He was my second opinion for spinal fusion and although I was very nervous about surgery, after his thorough explanation of the procedure I felt more at ease. I had severe sciatica that made it almost impossible to work. I'm about 4 months post op and have been back to work for 2 months with no nerve pain! He is quick to respond with any questions or concerns you may have and is truly a gifted surgeon. Thank you Dr. Sammy!

Dr. Sammy worked with me on a very personal level in his approach and made me feel very comfortable and confident in my decision to have surgery. My L5-S1 is now fused. The type of surgery was minimally invasive compared to techniques used by other doctors and institutes that I had been seeing.
It’s been a few years since my surgery and, simply put, I could not have asked for better results. My nerve issues are basically nonexistent and I am no longer taking any pain medicine or injections as I was before the surgery. Dr. Sammy still checks on me to see how I am doing, even a year after my surgery. I have never seen that kind of patient commitment/customer satisfaction from any doctor that I have ever seen. I would highly recommend Dr. Parikh to anyone considering surgery.

Dr. Parikh has been one of the best doctors I've ever had... Would absolutely recommend him to anyone!! I come from a family of Dr.'s and nurses, and even they couldn't believe the level of care he was providing throughout the entire process (FYI, they helped me vet him prior to my consult as well, absolutely solid education and has been doing this a long time).
NOT A FAKE REVIEW (I'm a real person), just because I am saying a ton of good things, some people actually earn it...
I was originally seen for a degenerated disc that ruptured, pinching my sciatic nerve. I did originally consult more than one neurosurgeon, but ultimately chose Dr. Parikh because I truly felt he would provide far superior care. I ABSOLUTELY made the right choice... He got me in FAST (called 30+ doctors on my insurance approved list, and only 2 could see me within a weeks time...), and his consultation was absolutely thorough and he was attentive the entire time. He walked me through my entire MRI, instead of just taking a single snapshot of the most problematic area like the other consult did, which as it turns out left out a ton of information knowing what Dr. Parikh had already gone over with me...
By the end I knew exactly what the problem was, and what option was best for me. The other consult was suggesting a much more invasive and extreme operation that would have been far more debilitating and had FAR longer downtime. Dr. Parikh took the time to discuss it with me, and I agreed that it was ultimately unnecessary for my current health needs.
Even after the surgery, him and his staff have helped get every bit of pre and post op care out of my insurance I could hope for, and that's saying something with my insurance plan!!! lol. Home health nurses that come to my home daily, PT's coming multiple times a week, and the hospital he chose for my surgery was small but very nice. I got much more personalized care than I probably would have at some giant hospital around here...
And he actually helped me throughout the entire thing manage the IMMENSE amount of pain I was in, which it was nice not to feel immediately persecuted by a doctor just by MENTIONING pain like you do with too many doctors nowadays... And this is coming from someone that didn't take any pain killers after a motorcycle accident that shattered my clavicle awhile back...
Don't be swayed by the lower number of Yelp reviews, or just because his office may not be a GIANT building with 30 surgeons on staff... You shouldn't be impressed by the building your doctor works out of, you should be impressed by the doctor!

I started to discuss lower back surgery with Dr sammy about 4 yrs ago after collapsing in the gym when doing a heavy back/leg workout. I had already received several steroid injections from another dr but they simply did not work so surgery was my final option. He came highly recommend by a friend who is back to living a normal life and pain free. Dr Sammy went through all my options after reviewing by lower and mid back. They found an arachnoid cyst surrounding by spinal cord and he prepared me for the surgery and has been always quick to respond to my post surgery questions. Doc and Jess are very caring and understanding. I'll be doing lower back in another yr or so but for now he has fixed an issue that took me out of major pain, I can breath normally and my legs no longer give out. THANK YOU DR SAMMY AND JESS!!!!

If you’re in need of a neurosurgeon Dr. Sammy is the one. I’m 10 weeks post op(2 level ACDF)and have been a patient of Dr. Sammy around 5 yrs now. Was referred to him by some friends of ours who had been a patient also.(Best referral and decision I made for a Dr.) Dr Sammy is not your typical Neurosurgeon. From the moment I met him I was confident in his knowledge and abilities as a neurosurgeon. He listened and ordered diagnostic tests necessary to treat me accordingly. Fast forward to 11-3-2021 I had ACDF surgery. At all my previous appointments he always talked to me in a manner that I understood what was going to be done. He always provided pertinent information during our discussions. I always left my appointments with him feeling a true sense of hope. Dr. Sammy is an assured man and the best spine surgeon in the Dallas area hands down. You will not find a more compassionate, caring Dr who will communicate directly with you through text or by phone. I highly recommend Dr. Sammy to anyone needing his specialty. #PlanoSammy #DrSammy #Grateful #Thankful

Dr. Sammie took care of my husband's L4/L5 fusion with minimally invasive surgery. Both my husband and I think he is incredibly talented, and when you back that up with such a caring attitude it makes your experience more positive. I feel he went way above any other follow up care that we have ever experienced. You can count your lucky stars for finding Dr. Sammie! And, he's not bad to look at either!" Hahaha, got ya Dr. Sammie! We would absolutely recommend him to anyone with back issues! And by the way, how refreshing it is to have a doctor who actually responds himself to your texts or phone calls!

Dr. Parikh is by far one of the best physicians/surgeons I have ever seen. His bedside manner is impeccable. You can truly tell he cares about you. I would highly recommend him and trust his recommendations. My ACDF recovery was far easier than I could have imagined. Thank you Dr. Parikh-you are the BEST!
On a side note his assistant Rebecca is just as fabulous. Look no further.

This doctor, Dr.Parikh, goes down in my books as being the ABSOLUTE BEST. I changed surgeons 5 days before my original surgery date, there were hoops we went through being he was out of network, he did everything to get me scheduled, I'm 17 days out of surgery and I am AMAZED. I did not question his abilities as he operated on my grandfather about 5 years ago with a successful surgery. I am so grateful for you Dr.Parikh, thank you so much for putting up with me and for blessing me with a new life. Oh my goodness, it is like day and night. Thank you again. Libby
