*BEWARE* I want to warn the residents of the Verde Valley about an unscrupulous contractor that is taking advantage of homeowners in the Verde Valley. I am not the only one and I will not be the last to suffer from their deception, thievery, and misrepresentation. J.D.S. improvements owned by Jon Synder and managed by Mike Lomelli will overcharge labor hours. charge for materials never used, and employ felons without your knowledge. Their method of avoiding state review is to do such a bad job that you fire them which then the State Contractor Board will not pursue any type of action because you fired them. They know this and take advantage of this. Did you know that they can do the worst job possible and you have no recourse through the state unless you rehire the offending firm? I didn't but JDS does and they will intentionally employ unqualified individuals to manage the project. I personally lost $40,000 that I will never see again to them and I am the little one. I know of many other victims of their scam. BEWARE and if you do have them employed do not pay ahead, always check your invoice, and demand receipts for material costs. These are unscrupulous people parading as a christian fellows. PS Jon is a charged felon that employs felons without your knowledge. You are not safe around this group

What a great company. They pay attention to detail on their workmanship. They listen to what the clients needs and wants are and follow through. Their prices are fair and reasonable. There's no job to small or no job too big that they can't take on. From drywall to plumbing,framing to painting and everything in between this is the company to call if you want the job done and done right!

I contacted JDS Improvements after being let down by several others that were too busy. I knew JDS Improvements would respond in a timely fashion as I have used them on other projects before. I had a desk area in my kitchen that we were no longer using and came up with the idea to use it as a drink station. The crew at JDS removed the old desk area, moved an outlet down low to support a wine fridge, repaired the drywall, painted. Then Bryan & Del helped brainstorm a way to make it more functional and blend in with the surrounding cabinets by designing and installing a cabinet that was counter height. They designed a cabinet that fit into the space next to the wine fridge that had about a 13" gap... they made it functional so I could use the space for cups & store wine bottles in. It looks great! They were here when they told me they would be here and got the project done before the countertop guys came with the Quartz. They all had excellent attitudes, were polite, easy & fun to work with. I would recommend them if you have any type of project!!

First time ever hiring a contractor, as I've always done things myself. But trying to learn how to delegate as I'm growing my business. Well, worst choice I could have made. They talked a great game and sounded really positive at first. But the renovation of a small 2-bd/1ba took nearly a year and was poor quality. Shame on me for not spelling out certain terms, but the workmanship and materials was sub-par to say the least. Had to have them come back multiple times for punch list items that were never finished, and they're still trying to collect money they overbilled me for (did I mention they went over budget by about $20k?). Deplorable.

I was running out of time to get the cabin we were building in Flagstaff water tight before winter. One call to Michael at J.D.S. and he had his team led by Evan out there the next week and completed the project. There was more to do than I originally told J.D.S. but they stepped up in a very professional, timely manner, fairly price and got the job done. Thank You!
