I can't say enough good things about De Mattei Construction. They listened to our vision, asked pertinent questions, and made sure that they were capturing all our needs and wants. They planned the project meticulously, and managed the time and budget aggressively throughout. They provided ideas from their own extensive experience, and made suggestions that saved us time and in several cases, money. They actively communicated with us continuously, and they were always available if we had any questions. A great project team (Alex, Peter, and Janelle), and a great company to do business with. De Mattei Construction just completed a full remodel at our beach house in Santa Cruz and it was done with so much care and attention to detail. We love what they did and gave them complete control over the project and the exceeded all our expectations! We also had them help us at our home in San Jose and they were just simply amazing! They are the best firm and have the best team. Both projects were finished on time and even below budget! 5 stars out of 5 stars is not enough! We recommend them for all projects big or small. Mark Demattei and his team provides a very comfortable, friendly and professional business relationship. My wife and I began our remodel in the summer of 2023 and automatically knew we were in good hands from start to finish. Our remodel was located in Santa Cruz while our primary residence was in San Jose, From the beginning of the project, the relationship from the front office , to the onsite project managers allowed my wife and I the peace of mind to know that our remodel was in a reliable, dependable and trustworthy company. De Mattei did an excellent job with our complete remodel and ADU addition. We knew we were in good hands given all the up front discussion and communication. De Mattei knew ahead of time all the steps to address with an ADU - which is a lot of hoops to go through. The project process and communication went very smoothly. We loved our team Tim and Lynnette who took great care of us and our project.
And the remodel process went really quite quickly and they made sure we were done before Christmas.
We highly recommend De Mattei to anyone considering a major home remodeling project.
