Do not waste your time or money with Garage Door Specialty! Ive used other garage door companies in the past, but I wanted to give this local company a chance. Jason quoted me for two capped insulated garage doors that were special ordered to fit, but installed 2 standard uninsulated doors you can purchase at Lowe’s. He charged $600 to do the most unprofessional framing. He left exposed untreated lumber on the exterior sticking past the door seals by inches. When I asked him for a partial refund for the difference in cost of the doors He said he would replace them at cost. Of course he would since I had already paid for insulated doors which I didn’t receive. He offered to fix the framing, but after seen the work he already did I didn’t want him to make it worse after I already paid someone else to fix his mistake by flashing the exposed lumber.
I paid him $2900 for 2 garage doors you can buy at Lowe’s for $800. I asked for a partial refund of $1000. Since I had to pay $600 for flashing his mistake. I felt $400 is a fair compromise for the price difference between the doors.
DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY. There are hundreds of reputable garage door companies in northeast Wisconsin. Don’t make the same mistake I did.

I had a couple commercial overhead doors installed by GDS and am 100% satisfied with the experience from beginning to end. Quick and easy estimate, friendly staff, punctual, professional, and knowledgeable. Highly recommend! Prices will likely beat anything else you find in the Fox Valley.

We have added several new doors at our main facility as well as both Manitowoc and Two Rivers Warehouses. They have provided us with quality doors and their level of service is unmatched. Fast, courteous, and communicative.

I found out my torsion spring was bad (by replacing the garage door opener myself and still having issue with up/down). Called up Garage Door Specialty and they were able to come out the next day and replace the torsion spring, lubricated the door, and fixed the mounting of my (freshly, and unprofessionally installed) garage door opener.

The whole ordeal took an hour and everyone was super nice, very communicative.

Perfect! Returned calls, arrived on time, had supplies and were able to replace our "dead" garage door opener immediately. We had been waiting for another company to replace this for over two weeks. If you need help, I would definitely call Garage Door Specialty first.

The spring broke on our garage door. I called to see if they could come the same day. He said they were booked but put me on hold to check the schedule. He fit us in and the garage door was fixed two hours after I made my call. AMAZING service. The guys were very friendly, knowledgeable and professional.
