Would not recommend renting from Benson. We lived in a Benson unit for 2 years. In that time our A/C never blew cold after requesting to get it fixed, went months without a dishwasher because it was never repaired. We had extremely high utility bills because the heat had to run constantly due to extremely poor insulation. Mold grew in our bathrooms due to poor ventilation and we dealt with constant ant infestation during warm months. On top of that they charged $1,500 over our security deposit and threatened to file a police report for “criminal damages” even though the apartment was left in roughly the same shape as it was when we moved in. There are much better options in the area to rent from.

Renting is renting, and renting in college, with roommates that is another story not every issue is the landlord. When issues arose in the building and apartment, Benson was always sure to send the maintence guy as soon as he got the issue report. The management is extremely friendly and had respect for the tenants, Kelly, Sheila and Josie are amazing people and if you have any problems they will be sure to help you.

So far so good. Started renting with Benson in June of this year and it is already wayyyyy better than my last landlord. I'm paying a bit more, and parking is an additional fee, but I am so much happier with them thus far. There is still lots of time to see how things change, but so far Benson has been a good landlord.

Do not rent with Benson. Our place was close to spotless and they took our security deposit along with charging us almost $3,000 more dollars in cleaning fees. If you don’t take pictures and videos of everything before you move in they will bleed you dry with cleaning fees. I was warned before I rented with them and sure enough it happened. I would not recommend!!!

I have rented with Benson Management for the past two years. Benson Management provides exceptional service to their tenants. Maintenance repairs are timely and my questions are always answered thoroughly. The process of renting a unit with Benson is simple and truly an overall great experience.

Wanted to criminally charge us after we moved out because of the damage we caused, but the only real damage we caused were some wholes in the bathroom. also charged us $1300 on top of taking all of our security deposits upon move out

I like the texting thing we can do to get questions answered really quick. I also like how everyone is really nice when calling about stuff. Everyone was great during the application process. Kinda upset how I have to pay to park in our private backyard, especially since the rent is on the higher side. Not sure if it’s worth that much money to park.

I just moved in to my new apartment. When I got here, I was able to write my name in the dust that was above the stove. There were dirt piles in the bathroom by the tub, cobwebs hanging from the ceiling, and crumbs on all of the carpets in every bedroom. I’m not usually one to complain, but I felt that the apartment should have been ready for me to move in on June 1st. I also found out that the latch on my bedroom door was completely busted to the point where my door won’t even close. Although I don’t need to have my door closed because I trust my roommates, it would still be nice to have some privacy. The reason why I am leaving a 4 star review is because as a business major, I understand that things like this can happen, and it’s not entirely their fault. I called Benson, explained the situation, and they had a landlord and a maintenance guy at our apartment no more than 5 minutes after my call. I was impressed. When I returned the next weekend, the apartment had been cleaned and looked MUCH better. They also promised to fix my door within 4-6 weeks (this was because of covid delaying the order of a new door) which was also greatly appreciated. I have since called their office with a few other questions regarding my internet service, etc., and the lady at the front desk has been very patient and helpful. I appreciate the prompt responses and patience that the Benson Management team has provided, and I look forward to living in my new apartment until my lease expires.
