I hope you will take the time to read this review.
I met Mike by chance. My neighbor was renovating their home, I knocked on their door to speak with the contractor, Brian, to see if he would be interested in my kitchen upgrade/facelift. He said he would be on his current job for at least a year, but he gave me his boss's name and Mikes name. The boss had no time in his schedule for my job, and when Mike came out he said yes he had time and would love to take on my job. I instantly liked him. I had the luxury of having 6-8 months to get all items ordered and on site before renovations began. The project grew slightly, as these things usually do, however - there were very few surprises, but when something came up, Mike was clear on the issues, what would be needed and what the cost would be to resolve. For the Kitchen upgrade/facelift and various other internal upgrades, Mike and his contractors came in on budget. Seriously, ON BUDGET! Mikes team is professional, they stand behind their work, my house was always clean, no debris was left unattended. Mikes personal attention to detail and his craftsmanship are top of the line. Every finish, every corner, every surface that he touched was done to perfection. He also rebuilt our deck from the ground up including a new staircase.
Mike was also instrumental in making me aware of some issues happening with another contractor we hired for a new roof on our home. I can honestly say, he saved us from having HUGE problems with the brand new roof that was installed during my kitchen upgrade. He was professional when we (Mike and I) met with the roofing company and was very succinct with what the problems were and had photos to show them. Thankfully he stayed on site to oversee the corrections/repairs and I feel very confident we will not have any problems with the roof.
I really can't say enough positive things about Norse Construction. From the day I met Mike and to this day, it has been a true pleasure knowing him and working with him. He's easy to talk to, does not get frustrated with changes, stays true to his schedule and budget, has excellent sub contractors/contacts and has a really good eye for design.
Don't tell my husband, but I'm pretty sure round two of reno's/upgrades is just around the corner. I hope Mike will fit me into his schedule.
