Purchased a Clayton Home and let’s just say I understand why the criteria is low for purchasing. They attach insurance to mortgage which in the beginning I thought wow what luck..right. Until a storm hit and I had damage rain running out of fixtures and siding blown off needless to say they sent a 150$ check for the siding and considered the roof damaged normal wear and tear. Water leaking from fixtures normal. Don’t let me talk about the shoddy construction. Bought brand new and you tell me on the 3rd yr of ownership that a leak is from the screws and it normal wear. Ridiculous when my carpet is saturated from the downpour from the normal leak as it was called. But I’m expected to pay and live in a home that is leaking that is currently insured but the insurance refuses to honor. Why is the insurance affiliated with the company why should I as the consumer have to consider getting more insurance when I’m currently paying for an unless policy. Home First , Assurant and American Bankers insurance company are fraudsters. I don’t know currently what is the name of the insurance company but these are all on my contract!
