HE DOESN'T GET YOU THE REPORT! I am a real estate agent and Mark went to one of my listings to evaluate an old attic fire. The property owners had to wait several weeks for him to come to the property, but he was nice when he was there meeting with them. He then told them he would get them the engineering report within a week, and after they very nicely kept asking him for the report for over SIX weeks...they decided to give up and hire a different engineer. He would say he would get the report to them in the next few days, and then nothing. VERY FRUSTRATING. If you can't write the report, then don't take on the job please. This client had buyers wanting to purchase their house, but the buyers wanted to see the structural engineer's report, so the fact that Mark didn't get them the report lost them some buyers and really delayed their sale of the property.

I reached out to Focus engineering LLC with a very time sensitive matter. My house plans were missing some structural details that my inspector insisted upon without which I would not get the permits approved. Mark was super responsive took the time to explain everything and always had time to call back to answer any questions. Another firm told me it’s going to take a couple of weeks but he was able to get this done for me within a week! For a very reasonable price the inspector and I were very satisfied with the details provided by Mark on my plans! Definitely recommend

Mark seemed to be thorough, intelligent, and an overall pleasant guy. However, his lack of communication needs to be addressed in order to receive a good review. Mark never completed any work for me because he never sent over the service agreement. Mark ignored my calls and emails after visiting my house. A simple "I am too busy to take this project on" would be sufficient for me. However, blatantly ignoring a client is unacceptable for a small business in 2020.

I'm sorry to say that I can not give Focus Engineering a good review. We met with the engineer to look at some issues at our home. He seemed very thorough and we looked forward to hearing from him shortly thereafter. I have emailed and called several times, but never heard back from him. It has been nearly two months since we met with him. A simple returned call or email would have been nice. We'll be finding someone else to assist us.

The structural review that Mark completed was excellent. He was professional, spent time both on the phone and in person to explain his findings and provided written documentation as follow up. I would highly recommend his services.
