Where do I even start with what a great experience I had with Nick and Basswood Roofing. My job was extensive, total roof tear down, garage flat roof redone, total siding tear down on a 1940's house, he knew there would be surprises and was up front about everything. He was INCREDIBLY responsive, more than any contractor I've ever worked with, through the entire length of the project. If I called, he answered and handled my questions, same with text, he checked in to make sure I was happy with the job, again, incredible customer service. I went from initial contact to quote in my hands in less than 48 hours. He walked me through my options of financing, I signed everything and we were on our way. The roof was done by his crew in 4.5 hours on a 92 degree day. His crew foreman talked to me through the entire thing, answered whatever questions I had and gave me updates. Everything was cleaned up and hauled away like they had never been there. Then, the siding was tackled, and this is where I met Steve. Steve and his guys handled all of the siding tear off, the carpentry to fix all the rotted wood around the windows (16 in total) and all the metal wrapping I had which was a lot. Steve was just as responsive on the job site as Nick, giving me updates, asking how I wanted certain things handled, walking me through all of the problem areas I had and how they can be fixed, actually listening to me when I described the issues I had and showed me why I was having them, and how they were going to fix them. Obviously this took some time to get the house completely done, but they were done quicker than I expected and the house looked GORGEOUS. People have already stopped and commented, and drive slow past looking at the new gem in the neighborhood. When I did my walk around, I found 3 small issues that I texted Nick about, they were back out to fix it within 48 hours, walked me through to ensure I was satisfied before even cleaning up to leave, even if it was a quick 30 minute fix. So, here I am, with a house I don't even recognize from the outside, and glad I found Nick and his crew. I will absolutely be using them again. Straight forward with everything that would need to be done. Told us what would be done and what should be done. Process was fast. One day new roof and gutters. Very nice people and workers. Would definitely use again and recommend to others!

They have excellent friendly customer service skills, wonderful craftsmanship and prompt completion. Would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a new roof. My name is Dan and here is my story.I reached out to Nick at Basswood and needed a new roof asap and winter was coming.I was screwed over by a contractor last year on a patio and some in the past.I told him my concerns and was trusting him.I was giving it one last chance to trust a contractor like I used to be able to.I’m glad I did.Nick did everything he said he was going to do.The quality was amazing and finished in time.I was watching and counting nails and looking for cutting corners.I found no evidence of that.They did a great job.I noticed they were putting more nails then was agreed on.This is the last roof in my life time and this roof will make it now.

Highly recommend Basswood Roofing! We had some damage to our soffit and old gutters and Nick was able to come out very quickly after I reached out to quote the job and got us on the schedule shortly after. I’m very happy with our new gutters, they look great and I’m confident my home is better protected from rain and snow now. Thanks for the quick, quality service! Last year sadly we had hired a different roofer that did a terrible job "fixing our roof" causing additional extensive leaks and damage to our home both inside and out. They didn't know what they were doing. Money spent, money lost.
Admittedly, this time around we were very nervous about hiring another roofer. This year based on our new careful in depth research and the excellent ratings Basswood Roofing had, we took a chance and decided to hire them. As it turned out. we were very happy with our choice in Basswood. Nick Hansen and his team were professional, personable, and very patient. They replaced our entire roof with quality GAF roofing materials. Nick has always been very responsive to my calls, questions, and emails from start to finish. As for our new roof … we have great confidence in knowing this time, we hired the right company and would highly recommend them. The new roof looks great. In short, the results speak for themselves.....
